Default Multiple Personality Disorder

I know this is off topic, but I guess this would be the place for it.

So I was just curious, does anyone here think they know anyone with this disorder (if so, describe some of the things that this person does)?

Do you think it's more common in life than we may think?

Nah.. I don't think it's THAT common.
But it certainly does exist.

The problem is that most people don't think it's real at all. like something on a soap opera.

I know it's probably not that common, but I wonder if more people than we think probably have it, but hide well. I mean shit, I read some old posts on this very forum that make me wonder if certain people create alter egos for themselves. It's very disturbing.

Oh no. It's out there. My mother has a form of it. But it's more of a seizure than MPD. She smashed the part of her brain responsible for emotions in a car accident and now she gets seizures there. The brain gets affected the same way as a normal seizure but instead of not being able to control her movements, it's her emotions and personality.

Really? I did not know that they were closely related. I guess through mood changes, it can be.

I think I had a shrink try to convince me that I had it, then again he wasn't even licensed.
