Well i'm glad we're mostly in agreement; crust = shit.

But where does it rank in comparison to Emo; higher or lower?

& yes this pretty much reflects my attitude aswell.
I like hardcore punk bands that have had some crust influences,
like F-Minus for example, but full-on crust itself is just...terrible.

Its unlistenable; it falls at the first hurdle for something to even be considered 'music'

Emo is much more listenable. There are discernable notes and stuff.

i'm not even too sure i know what emo sounds like...

i mean, i've no doubt heard it before but i've always associated it more as a fashion thing,
rather than its music.

(I'm sure its crap though, with haircuts like that :P)

Well original emo is pretty good. The crap labeled emo nowadays is not. Some good emo bands are:

Embrace
Rites of Spring
Sunny Day Real Estate
