Free animation programs...

I've been using Pinnacle studio for my animations.. and it's pretty troublesome..

I'm about to work on a big project, and I was wondering if anybody knew any good free animation programs?

Pencil/pen & paper is pretty cheap. Like the type you'd use to draw a cartoon. Like say maybe a cartoon based on the pr forums. Just a thought.

My animations are pencil and paper, I just use a program to string them together and work out the kinks.

And I have a PR comic about you and D.D.Punk, it's just not satisfactorily done.
