Default How do you feel about the mix of music and politics?

Do you think subjects like war, government, politics, debates, ideas, views, and things like that should be expressed or talked about with a music publications?

Is their a place for poiltics in music?

The more I read and hear about our government and other countrys governmants, wars, the more the questions arise.

So, what do you think?

Sure, that is what the content of much music is (at least music with substance).

I usually care more about how bands sound as unit rather than what they're singing about. As long as lyrics are well written, the vocals fit the music, and they aren't espousing the values of fascism, I usually have no problem with it.

If you work for said magazine, I hope to bloody god you are not the copy editor.

There is no music WITHOUT it.

But you didn't learn to spell "governments" or "countries"?

You could have the common courtesy to take some PRIDE in your work and actually learn your supposed craft. Just as no one wants to go see a band that hasn't learned any songs and has no clue how to play their instruments, no one wants to read a magazine that looks like it is written by a 3rd grader.

You don't have to wear a suit and study in France for basic writing skills - or even go to college for that matter - isn't that right Mr. Melville?

"You are correct sir."
