Why do old punks become skinheads ?

been wondering Why do old punks become skinheads ?

I been thinking of it too. I have the clothing. the crop . been having that for several years but I do not feel skinhead. I am just trying to look better than before and as a ode to the old culture of mine I tend to pick certain clothing over others.

I been wondering why it is old punks are attracted to this style. the culture is different. been searching a lot on traditional and OI skins.

its totally different from what I know as my old punk roots.-

I am going to quit the looks now and start using suit and tie and more expensive brands and stick a fred perry and a ben sherman into the mix as a tribute to the old life I had.

but its strange that often times old punks will become part of a other culture. you have to understand that here punk was left wing. self destructive and very DIY and street punk style non violent feminist and very provoking.,

these values is not skinhead culture.

I do not know the current punk scene is but the ones I did use to know where some funny strange mother fuckers that would certainly be very much different to anything a middle class young kid could imagine .

so how is it.. whats the story. should I go the same way or do something more stylish and forget about the old roots I have .

seems to conflict a lot with the clash of the cultures so I wonder how come punks go skin and even more the other way around . did they not use to beat up on each other by the way ?

Because they get bald, over here a good percentage of the pop looks like skin heads at 40, mainly because they are loosing hairs.

I think there might be some more to it. no one forces a bald person into DMs braces ben shermans and fred perrys.

maybe because it looks more nice and you have easy hiding your subculture relations on work and can still blend in and even look nice and casual should you meet any co workers off work.

You make rediculous irrational gereralizations in just about every "question" you post, the reason I put "question" in quotations, is because you generally just post some half-assed opinion and then add a question mark to it. Your opinions are basically unaswerable because of the load of presumptive, uninformed "information" you add. It also occurs to me that in almost every one of your posts either you , or someone else, brings up the "language barrier". but I always hear what you're saying loud and clear, and think that it is a load of crap. There's a lot of truth to those statements. One doesn't have to shave their head totally bald or wear Dr. Marten boots to be a skinhead or have the look. If one can find a copy, there are some good illustrations/fashion tips on skinhead appearance, attire, and apperal in the book, "Skinhead" by Nick Knight.

it's the retirement plan man! skinhead or rockabillie. I personally believe a true blue punk dies looking as rediculous as the days of their youth, but people get married and shit. They need an outlet to still be different but not have a foot tall mohawk in there pta meetings lol
