Best skinhead Movies.

I watched sixteen years of alcohol last night. great movie. I really like that old skinhead fashion a lot.

I love the movie This is England. I think its among the best movies I watched. also the skins in that movie seems over all friendly and I can relate to them. I actually do relate to the British people a lot but I am not sure howcome . they just seem to cool people and I always felt a connection to England since I was a child for some reason. been there too. london.

there are other skin movies that are entertaining and I think they are alright as action movie titles like Romper stomper or off course the greatest of great movie titles Clockwork orange that seems inspired by skinheads.

but are there Documentaries or any movie that depicts the skinhead more authentic than many movie does.

i liked this is england. it was refreshing to see skinheads portrayed as something different than a bunch of nazi thugs (for the first half of the movie, at least)

American History X, brilliant film, good message and fantastic actors. This Is England reminds me a lot of my childhood, been around the skinheads as a child and growing up in Northern England. People where I lived always hated Pakistani's and was hell for them living there, and I was the only teenager who ever stood up for them.

I didn't like either "This is England" or "American History X".

I didn't like "This is England" because it was TOO predictable. It's like I already KNEW what was going to happen next before it happened. On the other hand I DID like the fact that it DID show that NOT ALL skinheads are violent prone racists or that they only listen to Oi! (And at least there wasn't any Skrewdriver songs in it, but a lot of great ska, and an updated version of "Warhead" by The U.K. Subs, and ANY film featuring the U.K. Subs is a winner, in my book!)

I didn't like "American History X" because it basically fed on people's ignorance that all skinheads are violence prone nazi thugs, and TOO MANY PEOPLE in the U.S. already have that idea in mind and don't know any better. Skinheads in America get hassled EVERYDAY because people believe that crap. Perhaps the U.S. needs a "This is America" showing that there are anti racist skins.

There was a made for T.V. movie made in the early 80s for British television called, 'Made in Britain". I've never seen it, but I've gotten mixed reviews. Some people thought it was good, while some people though it was so bad, someone actually wrote a poem about why they thought it was a piece of crap, and they included it on the "Son of Oi!" compilation in 1983.

I disagree, it doesn't portrait skinheads that way, it just portrayed National Socialists that way. The Nazi Hardcore band who were in the film are an Anti-Nazi Skinhead band called Bulge (which are brilliant by the way), and I'm quite good friends with them. The film wasn't really about Skinheads, the characters just happened to be Skinheads in the film.

I didn't like Romper Stomper at all, even Russell Crow himself said he regrets been in that film. The film was made with a National Socialist point in mind, and stereotyped all Skinheads to be that way. Even the bands who did the soundtrack were actual Australian National Socialist Oi! bands. But, each to their own, I won't slash people for liking it
