Default Madonna slams present day pop stars

Pop star Madonna has slammed the current generation of pop and rock stars, saying they are too "bourgeois" to follow in her footsteps.

Madonna believes she has had a long flourishing career mainly because it was shaped out of the remains of the punk movement of the 1970s, reports say.

She said, "I came on the heels of punk. There was lots of stuff going on, but there wasn't the coverage. This new Hollywood generation is not punk rock. They are more bourgeois. It's time to flash something new."

Uh...yeah...cuz madonna was so punk rock? She represents much of what I hate about commercialized, corporate music. In my humble opinion, she's in no position to pass judgement on the current crop of sell out / prefabricated musicians.

She didn't say she was punk rock. She, in not so many words, said the conditions resulting from the emergence of punk rock as a commercial force are what helped make her successful. She didn't criticize them for being prefabricated. She called them too bourgeois. I tend to take that with a grain of salt considering that she's become pretty bougee herself, but in case she's basically calling them too middle class.

I agree completely.........but I do believe that she was just another corporate tool like many of out "pop stars" of today.

(on a side note that would be typical of my postings, she has been photographed wearing a jacket with the sign of the Illuminati on it - the pyramid with the all-seeing eye)
