both pairs are nice. use them a lot in the summer. in winter only thing I wear is combat boots.

I think they are durable. and nice . but nothing compares to a army boot. we should all know that. I use mine instead of shoes because I do not like shoes. treat my docs the same way too. would not use them for a walk in snow or rain in the forest but I do take some outside moments with my army boots that I am sure the docs could not handle.

the sole is long lasting on the docs. only thing that matters to me. I just broke a pair of converse I used for a month as indoor shoes only.

had my docs two years now for comparison. and used them indoor and outdoor and took lots of long walks with the dog in them., so they are durable.

Had mine (black) since 2001, althought I stopped wearing them everyday in 2008. They are still in good shape, English DM are great quality.

I got NPC's, theyre the still in england made docs and fuckin expensive, got them a few years ago when i was betting with my mum that i wouldnt fail my school year... weell, here i go.. obviously steelcapped (i dont wear anything that isnt), green and totally wrecked.. the tounge ripped off so i just put a piece of lace through and tied it there.. theyre now starting to get wholes on the upper part, so i might buy some docs, but only if their capped.

I own 2 pairs of docs. 8 eye black and 3 eye black. The 8 eye version doesn't get much use. I honestly don't find them comfortable. The 3 eye on the other hand are very very comfortable and not even broken in all the way yet. I don't know about the quality of the england made versions but I will say that my 8 eye docs are kind tore up for shoes I barely ever wore outside.

I got my first pair about 14-15 years ago. They were the 10 eye black ones. I've had the same pair of 20 eye black ones for 14 years and they're still in great shape. I don't wear them constantly like I used to though. A couple years ago I found a pair of 10 eye psychedelic looking ones at Goodwill. I had to get them because they were only $8 and I couldn't pass that up. I believe every pair I own were made in England, but I'd have to check the ones I got at Goodwill to be sure.

Off subject but interesting:one of the times when I went to the psych hospital they let me keep the laces in my 20 eyes. They should've definitely taken those away! If you're going to hang yourself in one of those places, a pair of laces from 20 eye Docs would be a good choice!

I'm torn between thinking they are bad as they are part of a punk uniform or cool because they are a tradition
all depends on the mentality of the wearer but the only reason to wear something obviously is because you like it

even though the lyrics are about drugs the title they came up with originally as an insult to the skins who attacked them (In overwhelming numbers of course)
