It seems that maybe law enforcement has finally caught on that it's more effective to take away large numbers of that guys doing the actual dirty work that just getting one or two of the guys at the top.

Some of the charges are cut and dry though...like murder over a spilled drink? That should've been taken care of sooner. It took 30 years to wrap this up. How long were people getting extorted for? Will they get their money back? Nope. Everyone is just glad its over.

Oh yeah, this was terribly mishandled, major law enforcement moves tend to be. I'm not saying that it was well done, or handled properly or anything like that. I'm just saying that their strategy at least seems to be moving towards a more effective method of dealing with this.

I agree ..Don't get me wrong. I was hoping for a gigantic number. How mny deals are gonna be made though with prosecution and defendants for shortened sentences and what not...Holy shit..this is "the departed"
