Lita Ford's thoughts on the New Runnaways movie

Lita Ford experienced a rather bizarre look in life’s mirror recently when the heavy metal priestess met someone pretending to be her.

Turns out Ford wasn’t all that thrilled to learn a movie based on The Runaways was in the pipeline. But then, would you want to see your teenage years played out on the big screen, rock goddess or not?

“Most people would want to be in a movie, but I sure didn’t want anything to do with this one,” Ford said about the flick, which carries the working title “The Runaways.” “They’re using my name and that makes me nervous as some of the people involved have tried to destroy my career since 1980.”

But Ford had a change of heart after Compton traveled to Lake Tahoe to see the former Runaway tear up the stage on a bill with Queensrÿche.

“After meeting Scout this weekend, I feel so much better,” Ford said. “She has a heart and soul, unlike some of the people behind the movie. She also hawks a mean loogey and really is a lot like me. We both cried the first time we spoke. Scout rocks.”

Who else is a Runaway in the upcoming flick? Kristen Stewart plays Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning portrays Cherie Currie

When you said that Dakota Fanning was gonna be in it, I totally lost my bone for this movie. And isn't Kristen Stewart the bitch that plays the main character in the Twilight Saga? Hollywood can suck my cock if they honestly think that people would be stupid enough to pay attention to talentless bullshit like this.

This is strictly a biased opinion, but when it comes to movies about bands no longer in existance, I'd much rather see vintage concert footage, and documentaries than to see actors pretend to be a great band. The ONLY exception to this rule, so far in my life, was BACKBEAT. I HATED Sid and Nancy! (Again, this is only MY opinion)

there is plenty of footage of the Runnaways.

I wouldn't make a movie on the Runaways, simply out of the fact that they're not a band I'm personally not that into. Although I will say, the day that people like G.G. Allin are "immortalized" on the big screen is the day that I put a bullet in my head.

I really bet they could've put more thought into the casting.
Dakota Fanning still looks like she's 8 but idk about Kirsten Stewart
even though she's in that HORRIBLE Twilight series, she could still be a good actress.

i loved kirsten stewart in speak. that's why i'm in a love/hate relationship with the twilight thing.. love because this is how she is getting recognition.. hate because she may be at risk of being pigeonholed... plus.. twilight is gay imo.
