Default mountaineering pics

friday I hiked almost a mile uphill from 7,200 feet to a 9,369 foot peak, going from national forest to Apache lands! There and back in just under 2 hours!
the next peak over is the big one-- 12,000 feet! only a mile and a half away! My goal is to start in the same place and get to the peak on my 50th birthday (5 years from now!)

an even better depiction of my climb: that is the ridge across from the creek bed I hiked from!

this picture can not accurately show Sierra Blanca, which is the big peak. It seemed to fill half the sky!
