I met the Captain at CBGB in 2005 when he was on tour with Dead Man Walking and even got a pic to show for it. Bought tickets for the Damned in Japan a few years ago and Dave had family problems and flew back early. As much as I was looking forward to seeing him sing the classics, I was happy enough to see the Captain at the helm.

Very cool, 30 years damn, no pun intended. I had a chance to see the full band in the winter of 2008 when they played around NY, they were supposed to play the Chance in Poughkeepsie like 40 mins from my house, but Dave got sick or something and they canceled. The next chance was in Tokyo, I mentioned above. And they came to Japan earlier this year, but I missed it. Rat Scabies and Brian James are playing this month (or played), a special cover show of Damned Damned Damned, but tix are really expensive, so not going to make it. I would have loved to see them in the heyday, very cool, man.
