"Marty" sounds familiar (I could be thinking of "Marty's Song though lol). I was a reg there between 90-94...88-9(umm something) I split my time between New York, New Brunswick and the Pipe...Also spent a lot of time at what was called Connections (at the time). I hung out with the Souls in the early years and then the Niblick Henbane crew later. I still talk occasionally to Brian K (Souls) and some of the Niblick Crew.

I am from the 1980's!!!!!! I grew up in Fullerton California. I went to high school with the guys from DI, almost 21, Adolecence... etc. I grad fullerton high in 1986. Great years and lots of fun memories!!!!

I hate it when I see a young guy and think OH HE IS HOT. Then realize OH way to young for me. LOL So then I just think to myself and say HMMMM would I have liked him when I was his age??? lol I am not a cougar at all. I actually prefer older guys.

I've only been on this site for about ten minutes, and I already feel right at home. I was worried that It would be overly populated with folks in their teens. Not that that would be a problem, but due to bieng older in life than years, It's been awhile since I've felt like a kid.

It's good to know that there are members closer to my own age on here, not that I consider myself old. It just seems like every show I go to or website I find is full of nothing but teenagers. Coming up on my mid 30's, it's nice to find that I'm not the only one who sill enjoys the music and lifestyle.

I have to echo that sentiment! I'm 41 but still haven't lost the love for the music or the attitude that went with the scene! I'm not part of the active scene anymore (have turned into a family guy living in the sticks). But it's funny--it seems like every time I meet someone, if the conversation somehow gets to the "good old days" I always hear the same comment: "I could tell". How they can tell I don't know, but it's good to know that it's still in my heart and not just in my head! :cool:

I understand completely where you’re coming from! I’m 41 and, yes, I even have a grandchild (1 year old)!
You know what the best part is, though? While our favourite bands are now the “oldies” they’re still the bands that most of the new bands aspire to be! And our scene (as well as the one before me) was the one everyone romanticises now! Which tells me that even if we’re the old farts we were doing something right!
