So, I've been sick for about two weeks now and I finally went to the doctors yesterday. He gave me a bunch of prescriptions and sent me on my way. I took the antibiotic last night and woke up a little itchy...the "itchy" got worse...Now I have to take a different antibiotic, prescription Benadryl, Methylpred (a steroid) and an antihistamine (Guaifen)... :( Two words...THIS SUCKS!

Yeah I hate it when you take an antibiotic that then causes something else to go wrong with you. It's annoying.

The rash was probably an allergic reaction, I have it with this one anti-biotic that starts with a Z. And sometimes certain bugs will react very badly with the right kind of anti-biotic. You should be taking a pro-biotic with the anti so your bowels aren't in knots. The anti-biotic can't differentiate between the good bugs and the bad bugs in your system so its important to give the good guys a hand. I like to use pearls since I can't really eat yogurt (lactose intolerant and what not) but you should always double check with your doc just to be sure its ok.

my wife is sick now.

midnight runs to get tomato soup...she won't do chicken noodle

she wears her grumpy bear ski hat with the little ears on it when she's sick.

It's adorable.

I like to take antibiodics as a last resort. Here's my checklist of things to do that 9 out of 10 times works without taking a trip to the doctor:

1. Don't smoke.
2. Take vitamins.
3. Eat somewhat decent and eat more frequently.(most of your bodies immune system is in your digestive tract and eating shitty causes acidic gunk to build up on your intestinal wall that weakens your immune system. Cleaning the crap out will give your immune system a fighting chance if you push the bacteria and acidic gunk out.)
4. Get some cardiovascular work into your day.
5. Don't go out boozing hard.
6. Get a decent amount of sleep.
7. Stay hydrated cause it helps with #3.

*this is my opinion*

Is it bad allergies? I've had a really bad cough in the past (lated for a couple of months) and the doctor said it was just post nasal drip. Have you tried hitting up a Natural Path?

Well it gets better *sarcasm* I lost my job yesterday, they "terminated my employment"...and with no reason, at least no reason they would give me.

And no Chris, there is no legal recourse for me.

Sorry to hear about all this. The only positive thing to say is, things can't get any worse for you (hopefully). Only better.

Most employers have a handbook that states "with our without reason" similar to our "read the rules and follow" forum section.

Unless you are a contract employee you're expendable.

That really blows. Sorry to hear that. Did they give you any sort of severance pay or anything?

No legal recourse? Alright, we shall load up hand grenades and napalm and show that place who's the boss. jk thats not nice.

Losing a job unexpectedly can be devastating to the psyche. Do me a favor and don't go on a bender!

Got any prospectives for new employment?

keep up the fight!

On the contrary, a good bender might just be the ticket. Blow off some steam.
