I went to see a cover band

Some old friend invited me out to see his friends band play. The band played all 80's rock covers. It was painful....

I think I lasted about 20 minutes and then bailed......

I went to my cousin in law's house - he played a bunch of the worst classic rock I've heard in ages. Fucking drug dealers and the fucking Eagles. Blegh!

when i lived in vermont there was (and probably still is) a hugely popular all girl zeppelin cover band called "lez zeppelin".....just one more reason to hate vermont.

well, there were about 150 people at this show and they were dancing and stuff. 40 and over crowd... I am 43 years old but I felt out of place... Not sure why these people just don't play some originals...

You should go see Flock of GooGoo play next time they're at Linda's Doll Hut. Best 80s cover band ever!

yeh, i dont' get it. i mean cover songs sure, but i rather die than be in a cover band. the only worse fate is being in a tribute band or being a children's musician.

You are right. Lez Zeppelin were touring the UK last year I think.

yesterday must have been 80's rock band day, because at the Knit last night, was Club Vodka, which is 25-35 80's wanna-be / cover bands

Karaoke is way better than cover bands. I enjoy playing the harder stuff while waiting for other singers to finish their country music.

meh, still just a cover band. they have a gimmick but i'd be more impressed if they could write. black velvet flag and black fag are fun too but i wouldnt pay to see them.
