No, unfortunately I've had it for years but I refuse to "med up" for it!

Ambien is not consistant with me. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone tried lunesta? If so how does it work.

I don't want to take any drugs for my condition. They say they aren't habbit forming but in a round about way they are. You don't crave them like a normal fix but your body forgets how to function on its own so you either have to keep taking it or have the dosage upped. And for some head related drugs they're just discovering they cause cancer or turn your brain into swiss cheese. -_- My doctor left that part out with some of the "helpful" and "safe" meds she prescibed me.

Computers tend to hurt insomniacs.
lately I have been waking up like an hour earlier than my alarm.

I think light in general makes me more alert. But I've had insomnia since I was three (that's as far back as my memory goes). :p

Well when it gets dark, your pupils grow. This expansion causes your body to release a hormone called Melatonin. Melatonin levels that are high will ensure you sleep very heavy and feel refreshed in the morning. Unfortunately TVs, Computer Screens, and flourescent lights fuck up your biological clock by preventing melatonin levels from building up.
Taking supplemental melatonin doesn't help because it cannot fully be absorbed from the digestive tract. Some melatonin is designed to melt under your tongue, but again, you need at least 30 mg a night, and that is a lot of throat drops.
Try going to bed earlier with no TV or computer. listen to the radio.
Dr. Jones is here to help!

My fiance will saty up for 5 or 6 days at a time, then sleep for 4 days. It's really annoying. Good thing he works for himself or he'd be seriously jobless!

Nope I usually never have problems sleeping. Only very rarely do I ever have trouble sleeping and it's usually because of some external factor.

You're a good typer for being asleep. :p
...Insomnia, yeah it's so boring
Nothing to do at three o'clock in the morning...
insomniacs should clearly hook up with other insomniacs, theyd have a great time.

Drink coffee in the morning and warm mild at night. you'll sleep like a baby. I used to have insomnia. then i figured. well coffee gives you energy but wears out your adrenaline glands by the end of the day so your bum tired. Warm milk just naturally makes you tired so the two each day should work. And it did

Maybe you can score a lid of weed from Vixxen. The only side effect would be midnight snacking.....
