"Fair-Skinned Minority"

Standin in the heat out on highway 10 East with my thumb out in the air
Arizona desert hundred-ten degree heat and nobody seems to care
Business people and college kids seem almost to smirk as they flock by like sheep in a herd
Thats why I stand their with my middle-finger behind my back-my other arm out in front of me as Im flipping the bird
I was born second-class you know that its so because Im still that way today
People who have had a better lot in life I do not understand how they could look down upon me
Its been my realization that we live in a nation of pigs in a sick society
I love and appreciate the black man Im a victim of the white devil - a fair-skinned minority
Stole a free ride on an eastbound hot-shot to Memphis,Tennessee
Worked afew day labor jobs along the way until I got to NO,LA
Gettin stuck in small towns and cut-off from the world can be a miserable place to be
People cannot fathom why I'd be on the streets theyve never heard of a fair-skinned minority
When I finnaly made my way back to Memphis I could see that not a God-damn thing had changed at all
My friends all sittin round with not a job to be found just as wasted and degraded as they'd all been before
Growin up dissatisfied,rebellious and infamous-in some places I could still sense some hostility
Good thing I dont give a fuck what tasteless idiots think
I guess Im just a fair-skinned monority

Your poem isn't so far fetched. Everyone within the scope of whiteness has had to fight for their place. It was really backwards how people stepped into the status. Someone from an economically sound stance in society would go "hey at least your not like the _______", when the impoverished people of one race would complain about their place in society. I totally recommend you pick up Whiteness of a Different Color by Matthew F. Jacobson. In a sense we're all kind of minorities...even though race doesn't biologically exist? Man I'm so tired I'm even sure if this is coherent enough for people.

Listen to this.
