I found this article that was mainly about recipes that included ginger. But the author's basis for posting the article was ginger was this magical cure all. But in order to do the things they brought up making it into bread or soda is probably one of the last things you should do with it. They also mentioned adding it to boiled water for tea but I think that may break down some of its helpful qualities. Ah! Sorry my point to this rant...what is with people turning healthy alternative medicines into junk food for a hipper cure?
While it's best known for quelling queasy motion sickness, fresh ginger has also been shown to soothe a sour stomach, calm achy joints, lower cholesterol (one of the great ways to reduce your RealAge), thwart artery-clogging clots, kill ovarian cancer cells, quash inflammation, and -- maybe most impressive of all -- fend off the lethal common cold!
