In the scene nowadays people just fucking don't care when it comes to messages (well people who start these political punks bands do) but when it comes to my generation all the fuckin kids do is just listen and not actually "Listen!" when you listen to stuff like Subhumans, and The Exploited you know that from what they wrote ,you can tell it's the truth and important.... oh yeah my generation sucks at reading too apparently (no fuckin joke, I'm like the only good reader in my history class)

punk is about being yourself.
its about havin' fun.
its about trying to create a cause that is worth fighting for.
its about not givin a fuck about what people think, what people criticize you for, about what YOU do in your fuckin life.
its about the ambition for creating something new.
even though what people do these days arent original anymore, it doesnt matter because punk was based of individualism, which doesnt mean since there are so many different punks out there that people are individuals!
we all have different opinions and views which makes us individuals.
its all about doin what you think is right. not what everyone else thinks is.
its about having fun and actually tryin to stick up with what YOU believe in.
the most important thing of all is to believe in yourself.
without that belief then waht do you have? others who command you and tell you how to represent yourself and present yourself...just another robot.
there are many robots..but in some occasions you cant prevent that, like working for a corporate company..you do it jsut to make money.
you ahve to have money top live and survive.
people shouldnt criticize you for it.
they should support you because without any of that you can preceed on living without living on the streets and bumming of others.
punks is more than one thing. it is many.
there are so many different type of punks nowadays.
you listen to what you like and you do what you think is right or wrong (but who is to say what is right or wrong?!), and with that said...do what you want, not what others want!
live your life the way you want and dont look back.
there are so many different ways life can go.
just go wiht what you believe and take advise from other but dont take it 100 percent, do what you actually believe is right.

Heres my answer: Punk is alot of things.Its the spirit of the bleeding heart artist/angry proletarian(poor person)/intellectually tasteful/misunderstood reject/anarchist radicalist/lover of justice,etc.But it can also be about sniffing glue and shooting up speed and pooping in some other guys mouth as a sex act and cutting yourself with razorblades while screaming "SCARRED FOR LIFE!!!!!" or something to that nature.Depends on the band,individual,etc.
