(Also a topic that PFers will know, love, and remember...)
I watched "Inside Man" last night with Clive Owen and Denzel Washington. It was pretty good. The plot, for the most part, wasn't anything special: guys rob bank, negotiator shows up. But it had certain aspects that set it apart from other bank-robber-negotiator-movies.

The last movie I watched was Halloween at the movie theatre. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it great either. I felt sorta bored at some parts, but that was because I picked up this irregularly shaped piece of paper that was laying on the floor and kept trying to fold it into a perfect triangle. I also thought some parts were kinda funny, like, have you ever wondered how in just about every movie whenever someone is imprisoned they always come out super humanly strong no matter how long they were in there? I mean, Micheal Myers sat in a chair and made masks all day, how the hell he got that strong is beyond me.
But anyways, fuck that movie.
The last movie I watched and really liked was Shortbus, made by the same person who made Hedwig And The Angry Inch(an essential glam rock musical/autobiography). The movie was very pornographic, within the first 15 minutes of the movie a man cums into his own mouth(while someone watches) and treads deep into Cinemax porn territory sometimes, but thats all just to scare you away, underneath its a great movie, actually kinda heartwarming.
I also saw Rules Of Attraction, which increased my respect for James Van Der Beek significantly, one of my favorites. I also watched Oldboy, a subtitiled japanese karate movie, which was amazing. Any karate movie by Asia Extreme is certified gold, I now want to track down Ichi The Killer.
Unrest, one of the "8 Films To Die For" from the After Dark Filmfest.
Boring run of the mill cliche-ridden flick about a cadaver haunted by the Brazilian god of fertility that goes on to kill some med students. No shit.

Invasion with Nicole Kidman. I loved the first half -- thought it was unique, but the second half was just generic run/car chase/shoot fare
P.S. Nicole's skin is amazing for 40!

i really liked it. it was very different as far as vamp films go. its a pretty solid film altogether, but the tv spots for it claim its the "scariest vampire flick of all time," so i think that kind of hype is whats killing it for some people who may have their expectations too high. Just go see it. It's Halloween, what else do you want to see?:D

i like what it tried to do, im just not sure it was the best job they couldve done. its based on a true story, but of course, you throw some hollywood into it and lose some of the creepyness to old standby scares such as loud noises and people bumping into eachother. its decent but it couldve been better.

Get the director's cut. It puts the missing pieces and clues that hit the cutting room floor for the theatrical release back in...blah, blah blah the reason why Harry had a gripe against JD and so forth.

But i still know only to well what that feeling was like.
