Of course I know and own plenty of good "Punk movies" such as: SLC Punk, Suburbia, American Hardcore, Sid n Nancy, The Pist, The Decline, What we do is Secret --- Are there any other good documentaries and or fictional punk films that you would recommend?

By the way, if you have seen What we do is Secret, I'd love to know if it was any good.

P.S. I aint talking about music video/live music compilations such as Give 'em the boot.

I would recommend it. It's one of the few punk movies I enjoy enough to own.

It's a documentary about Youth Brigade and Social Distortion going on a US tour. They end up in DC and hang out with Ian and Minor Threat for awhile. The tour is also what apparently prompts Mike Ness to write the song with the same name (Another State of Mind).

The Future is Unwritten, the documentary about Joe Strummer released in late 2007/early 2008, is excellent.

I saw this when it came out in the early 80's....I remember really liking it. Especially when they visited Inner Ear Studios....

Hey, don't knock the 8 tracks, they sounded good so long as they didn't jam and get eaten. I've still got one really terrible, frightening one leftover from the 70's.

I kind of wish I still had a player.

I liked it. It made me giggle.
Just because something is over rated doesn't make it bad.

Read the book and you'll see where the film falls flat and short even as an attempt to exploit subculture.

Boston Beatdown is a documentary on the FSU (Fuck Shit Up) group.
its just a bunch of douches that go around punching people but some people are into that, you might be, idk, i found it mildly amusing.

Seems like you all missed "Repo man" or else the ambien is kicking in and I missed it.drugs)+ I would also reccomend "DRUGS ARE NICE: A SUCKUMENTARY" about Lisa Suckdog, who I worked for.
The early films of John Waters are all very punk in attitude. The last low budget thing he filmed was "Polyester" which featured a spikey haired "Baltimore foot stomper" who got off on airplane glue and stomped strange women's feet to get off. Also starring Stiv Bators as "Bobo." a baseball bat wielding thug with greasy hair.

Those guys are such twats. My wife saw them jump an 'Outlaw' (as in the Outlaws Biker Club) biker friend of ours at a bar. He was an old hardcore punk rocker that I grew up with. They jumped him 5 to 1 and got their asses handed right back to them. While they were on the floor collecting themselves he stood over them and told them to leave town now in not so many words.

I ran into the same problem at a Murphy's Law show a while back where one tried to hit my wife in the throat while I was away at the bar. When I came back I knew something was up by my wife's expression. He and his five friends then tried to start a fight with me. They set me up nearly tripping me by throwing a beer bottle at my feet which erupted into a shoving match. Needless to say all hell nearly broke loose and I nearly broke a beer bottle over the ringleaders face. Four of the guys were ejected from the bar. On the upside I found out later I had two of my oldest and dearest ex-skinhead friends from the late 80's with me at my back. I'm an older man now. I don't like violence but if I have to dish out what I am given I will blind someone, especially if you lay a hand on my wife. The idiot left behind later picked a fight with the smallest little Latino skinhead kid that ended up beating his face in. I guess they really can't fight fair or alone. In the end Jimmy G. who is an old buddy was pissed about all the mindless violence.

Whoa, i think you misunderstand my intentions. I wasn't offended and I understood you were amused by the film. I was just sharing two run ins with the local chapter that has been started around my town of these buffoons.
