Just wondering what other people think of the joker from Batman: the dark knight played by Heath Ledger?
Also i read on some site about how the joker is based on a punk. That punk was John Lydon A.K.A Johnny Rotten. Heath researched him for the part and acted as if he was him. The way the joker lives and acts in this film does give him an anarchistic style of punk way about him but what do you all think.

I didn't see the big deal about Heath's performance. If anything, the writer of this movie made Joker.. Not Heath.

You're an idiot.
The facial expressions, the inflection... All of that made the role. It wasn't just the dialogue or the writing.
The performance in the interrogation room is 100% perfect. Yeah, the dialogue was great and the writing was awesome, but a lesser actor could've performed that part and it would've been completely boring and not have any sort-of emotional impact.

Seriously? Neither of you did?
The insane laughter and the mannerisms can be pretty Lydon-like at times.
