I was just reading a book called Over the Edge: Death in the Grand Canyon and people died falling down 30 feet. This guy went down like 42 feet and knocked his shoes off. Amazing. I went skating right after I saw this

That guys awsome. I laughed so hard when his shoes flew off in the slow motion angle. Those guys have real balls. Makes me want to skate regularly again.

Haha. I have that book. I got it when I went there with my folks a couple years back.

My friend's uncle had it on his coffee table and I was reading it a bit while she was in the shower. Some of those falls, while really sad, are actually kind of funny. I like the one where the boyfriend fell off the edge and they couldn't find his body, so they knocked a bushel of hay off the edge where he fell and found his body and a bunch of hay on the bottom

Yeah he took the brunt of the fall on part of the incline, but he still hit HARD! You can hear the THUD of him hitting. When I first saw his shoes fly off, I thought it was his helmet shattering. That guy definitely deserves a metal for hardest fall in, what my opinion is, the hardest fall in X Games history. YEOWCH!
