You didn't get to go to the Superbowl last year. Just remember that. That's what matters more than any other game... A play off game. You lost it.
I don't care about current records or anything like that. I care about games that count. It's like when I talk shit to tisjoefoo, the Green Bay fan. The Bears might have a crappier record, but they're one of only two teams to beat them this year, and the only team to beat them when Brett Favre was uninjured and played the entire game. Who cares about records when the teams play one on one and the team with the worse record wins?
And who cares about a regular season game when they took away their chances to go to the Superbowl last year?
And I wouldn't brag about being 6-7 when the other team is 5-8, anyway. You look like an idiot when you do that.

Fuck that, Bears suck this year and they have no shot at playoffs or the Superbowl. We're finally gaining speed with Reggie out the way (hopefully) and I'm sure (ok hope) we'll clinch a playoff spot. Hey, I could be wrong and all that, but the fact remains that this year, the Saints are better than the Bears. You can distort that any way you want, but your perception means jack when it comes to Football. Season record is what counts.
And our fans are the most diehard in the NFL. See, true conviction is undisputed support of a team for 40 plus years no matter what. Unlike teams such as yours which boast a core group of supporters and a shitload of bandwagon jerkoffs.
But whatever. Like I said December 30th. Say what you want, if you like the Bears it sure as hell will bother you getting beaten by a team you think is shitty, because that will just mean yall are worse.

Hey, wait. Whose team made it to the Superbowl? And why did they make it to the Superbowl? Oh, it was The Bears, and it was because The Saints couldn't beat them. That's right.

You can distort that any way you want, but your perception means jack when it comes to Football. Season record is what counts.
Season records don't count when you lose in the playoffs. The whole season is just to get to the big game. If you have a great record and still lose in the playoffs, what's the point? And that's what happened to The Saints. They lost when it really counted last year.
And I don't see a big different between 5-8 and 6-7. I don't think a 6-7 team is much more likely to get to the playoffs, except maybe for the fact that they are in a crappier division. The Bears are in a division with one of the best NFC teams, so even if they were 6-7, they wouldn't go to the playoffs. Maybe in your shitty division, 6-7 teams go to playoffs, though. I don't know. I'd have to look into it.
And our fans are the most diehard in the NFL. See, true conviction is undisputed support of a team for 40 plus years no matter what. Unlike teams such as yours which boast a core group of supporters and a shitload of bandwagon jerkoffs.
What are you talking about? Do you know WHY I like The Bears? Because they have diehard fans. You have no clue as to what you are talking about. I never even liked football until I moved to Chicago, because the fans there are soooo fucking diehard. I've never seen such devotion to a team, whether they're winning or losing. You really have no clue.
But whatever. Like I said December 30th. Say what you want, if you like the Bears it sure as hell will bother you getting beaten by a team you think is shitty, because that will just mean yall are worse.
:D
Like I said, I don't care what happens on December 30th, because it doesn't matter... The Bears can't go to the playoffs, and unless The Saints are in a shitty division, they probably won't be going, either. So what matters is the fact that The Saints lost when it counted... In the playoffs last year.
jonhomeowner
12-15-2007, 05:48 PM
You talk a lot. But in your division, there is no one clear, great team. The Bears play in a division where The Packers do well almost every year. You have a division that is up for grabs. It looks like it floats between Atlanta and Tampa Bay, though... Though I guess Atlanta has gone to the dogs, so to speak. LOL.
I would like to point out that The Bears made it to the playoffs in both 2005 and 2006. Saints didn't. In fact, going back to 2001, The Bears either do well or do poorly. The Saints are an average team most years, except for one year where they did very poorly. They do not go to the playoffs nearly as often as The Bears. And since playoffs are what matter (since that's what gets you to the SUPERBOWL), The Bears are the better team.
The end.

Jon, your team sucks this year. Period. My point was, we have a shot at the playoffs and yall don't. Deal with it. All that other crap you're saying is just straying from the fact that we're still in the runnings and you guys aren't.
And yeah, as far as AFC, I like Indy because of Peyton Manning and on that fact alone.

Really? Do you really think you do? Good luck with that.
All that other crap you're saying is just straying from the fact that we're still in the runnings and you guys aren't.
The fact that "you are in the running for the plays offs" is something you keep brining up to stray from the truth: Your team lost to mine last year, when it counted. And again, this year, your team will not make it to the Superbowl. And it'll keep happening. That's the truth here, and that's what we're discussing. We're discussing what counts.
It makes this even more amusing because you aren't even from Chicago (which of course I didn't know until you just told me). Bandwagon.
How is this "bandwagon"? I found a team that got me interested in the sport. That's not "jumping on the bandwagon". You make no fucking sense.
Should I be an Eagles fan? A Ravens fan? I've lived in those places, too. Oh wait, maybe I should just like the team where I was born, just like you. Now THAT is jumping on the "bandwagon".
And yeah, as far as AFC, I like Indy because of Peyton Manning and on that fact alone.
THIS here is also jumping on the bandwagon. OMG, A TEAM HAS ONE GOOD PLAYER THAT WAS... BORN WHERE I WAS... I MUST BE THEIR FAN!

It has not been a good season, it's slightly depressing to watch, just an overall lack of motivation. However, we beat Denver, and Oakland so my friends can't totally rag on me.
And before you point out I live in California and root for a chicago team, most of my family is still in chicago, and my dad's cousin was all lined up to play for the bears until an injury prevented him for doing so, so it's the team I grew up watching.
Still hoping for the boys to get their act together and go out with some dignity this season, even if we won't be in the superbowl.

Apparently. If you like a team from somewhere else, you're jumping on the bandwagon.

In my opinion, last year's Superbowl was a yawn fest. Neither team was very interesting, and it was one of the most boring football games I've ever watched. The only exciting part was the first 14 seconds, because that has never happened in a Superbowl before.
