I thought that this was actually same bullshit different video. One of the guys was going against hot topic for selling misfits shirts because 12 years old kids could buy them and he's suggesting that they've never heard of the misfits...funny how it was mentioned that the preps said oo look at him wearing that omg and supposedly the punks do the same and that it's just conformity that judges on the fashion when the guy basically said 12 year olds who shop at hot topic are posers who know nothing of the bands. What a coincidence they played nazi punk fuck off when one of the guys were talking about people dying their hair is just copying and fashionable and not original like how it used to be in the beginning....Yeah this video isn't a surprise to me it's just modern society trying to decifer the punkrock culture.Let me tell ya this, they still don't get it and I hope they never will :)

Pop culture is just that..."pop". The only thing that suprises me is that fact that fashion designers took to so long to intergrate punk into todays "fashion".

A band is an entity. They are a collective conscience. If one speaks, he/she speaks for all.

Interesting very interesting. HOwever, what it boils down to is it's just clothing. If you wear a torn shirt and bondage pants your wearing a uniform-same as if you wear a polo shirt and khakis it's a uniform people will always categorize you by the way you dress so fuck it. Like the movie said if people are stupid enough and want to spend big bucks to wear a "punk" uniform fuck 'em let them do it...It's the same on the flipside. If you go into a thrift store you see Tomy Hilfiger and Polo those people want to put out the appearance that they have money. The idea that drove me to "punk" 13 years ago is that it doesn't matter what you wear or where you are from you can join in and be pissed off together...Now all these little snobby scenester kids have this holier than though attitude and have become just as bad as the groups that treated us badly in the past.

Charlie Harper is one old fuck.....Older than Mick Jagger....supposedly.

I saw Charlie last night. He's actually 64 which in Britain means he's only got a year until he gets his State 'Old Age' Pension, bus pass/free travel on the Underground and special Winter fuel bill supplements.:)
Despite this he's still doing at least one gig a week, every week, every year and has done since 1977. The current band are working on material for what will be the 24th official album in 32 years (not counting all the compilations, live and bootleg albums of course)
Charlie has a lovely wife half his age and still likes his beers.
Hope I've got his stamina when I'm a wrinkly old coffin dodger.

I'm seeing the UK Subs again tonight. 2nd day of two day sold out event with original guitarist Nicky Garrett. And it's about 15 miles from my front door. Very convenient.

And Mick Jagger is a knob.

well i live in a f**king small state and we dont really have here any punk shop.
im kinda glad with that.
i dont want just to walk down the street and see more 5 girls wearing the same shirt im wearing.
i dont respect the fashion, neither the punk one.
i use to create by my self clothes, and if i cant really do what i want, i buy some pieces and recreate them in something else.

Same here actually. There is not one single punk shop where I live. U have to go all the way to the city to find one. I create alot of my own clothing as well. Being different and creative has always been in my nature.

Putting people down for wearing the clothes they wanna wear is bullshit.
Every person has their own individual version of punk. You for example don't dress in a way that would suggest you even like any certain type of music. Thats fine. Because PUNKROCK comes from the heart and the mind!

Just because some punkrockers wanna be loud and proud and wear bondage pants and spike their hair doesnt mean they're "posers" or whatever you wanna think of them as conformists...its a symbol of 1977 we're still here and we're still pist!
Punks still not dead in 2009...

sr113 i would be proud if my dad or mom were wearing like that.
sometimes and my parents are ashamed from me and my wearing, but the more they try to change me is the more i get weirder :)
Try to kinda talk and say them that thats the way you live, same like they do with their own.
Im suprised how they were grown up with punkrocker and not being that or simply liking it.
I wish mine parents were punkrockers.
wish u all the best.
