As you may or may not know the Lucky Stiffs have been truly blessed with the support of our fans for many years. We have always felt a “family” type bond with all of you, some closer than others. You have invited us into your homes, fed us, given us a place to sleep, and even included us in your day to day problems and we can not THANK YOU ENOUGH!
Unfortunately we all experience some kind of loss throughout life. Most of us have lost someone close and have our own ways of keeping our loved ones memories alive. Our song ‘Letter’ came about from the passing of one of our biggest fans and closest friend Mike Meyers, as well as the passing of Greg’s (singer) father Rich De Hoedt. We have also heard from many of you that this song has helped you when dealing with this situation, which is what music should be about.
So when the discussion about a video for the song ‘Letter’ came up, we felt that it would be extremely selfish for us not to include YOU, our extended family, in this process.
This is where you come in. Starting Friday June 15th , we would like for you to…
CHOOSE ONE
A. Send a high resolution photo or video of your loved ones that have passed.
- OR –
B. Send a photo of you (or your “family”) holding a picture of your love ones.
- OR –
C. Send a photo of a tattoo you got as a memorial for your loved ones.
We all have different definitions of what a “family” is. They can be friends, family, loved ones and pets (because they’re family too!) that are no longer with us to show in the video.
Once the video is finished, we will provide everyone who submitted material used on the video with a DVD version for there own personal collection.
We know how hard losing someone is, we just hope that we can help to never forget them!
