I'm sure you do. Like with the Adicts show your promoting. Well they ain't playing any other venues in SoCal. So now I gotta go pay 30 bucks to get in and 5 bucks for newcastle IN A CAN. That in and of itself should be against the law. I'm married and gotta take the wife so just double anything I decide to do. When I walk out the door and you have $100 USD of my money in your pocket I'm sure you DO love me regardless of how many times I use the word fuck or what I say about your establishment. It's still shit and actually I believe most of the fault lies with the band.....would it kill them just to play one other venue??. But your sure not throwing in any lube on the anal raping I recieve. Fuckers.

I know I'm a giant ball of shit and sunshine aren't I?

Nothing against you personally dude I'm sure your just trying to make a living. It probably would be bad if you gave an honest opinion of the company you work for. It's not like I'm sitting here chatting with the owner or CEO or whoever runs those places. I'm sure that your just some promotion dude trying to get his job done. Right?

Besides who cares? I've got limited options. If I wanna see these bands before they break up or die there is only one thing I can do.

Actually I'm a chick trying to do "her" job. Which basically is trying to get the word out to THE FANS that a band they like is coming to play in their backyard. And believe it or not, I really love the club and my job. Great group of people who all love music. I really couldn't ask for anything more. And keep in mind when you rant about ticket prices, we're not the only ones that set those... Also if the Adicts or whoever played somewhere else, it would probably be somewhere that doesn't offer 5 hrs free parking too! ; )

Free Parking yeah!!!! Sorry about the gender thing. You'll tow the company line as long as you're on the payroll. That's fine I love my job too! hahahahaha. But seriously don't be a moron. You think people enjoy it when one Company dominates the entertainment for an entire area? And when you mosh you get kicked out but some giant Neo-Nazi gets away with it cause your staff is scared of him/her/them.You guys are just Disney's bitch.

You need to relax a bit. The Adicts play all over So Cali and for much cheaper. Stop the bitching and just wait until they are at the Showcase or some other club. It is very simple and takes about a 6 year old IQ to figure it out.

This is something that I hate. When people bitch for the sake of bitching and without research. People need to think before the do things.

if you don't like my "bitching" why can't you just delete my posts like you did in the Civet thread and shut the fuck up. After all it is with in your power to do so. I guess attacking my IQ and supposed lack of motivation is more of a kick for you this time.

wow, are you ever angry. don't know what we ever did to make you hate us so much, but perhaps you might consider that BR (and Social D as well) only plays for us because they LIKE our venue and the people who work there? We have a great relationship with the guys (which I know you can't imagine)-- which is why we get 10 shows with them at a time, at venues all over California. Because they like us, they like the people who come to the clubs, and the shows are always amazing. And no, they aren't free. I think BR has worked hard enough as a band to make a paycheck. Sorry, but not everyone hates us. Also, maybe if you would present your issues with HOB in a calmer, more collected manner, someone might take your problems seriously. No one's putting a gun to your head making you go to the shows. Either buy a ticket, support the venue and band you are going to see, or don't, and while you are at it, download the songs for free on limewire. And as you continue to bitch about our corporate structure, perhaps consider that we took NO money from ticket sales at the amazing sold out Mike Conley benefit on Monday and handed thousands and thousands of dollars over to his family, not charging for ANYTHING. Not every venue would do that, but we did. Because we care about the music and the people who make it (and the fans who appreciate it).

Also I suggest you do some more research on how ticket prices are set, and who determines where band's play. I think you will be shocked to learn that the actual bands have some say in it.

Cheers

No need to defend the HOB. I love the place and will continue to show up and spend money on as many beers as I can drink!

I sent a message to Cory and he is going to mellow out a bit. He turned out to be a nice guy after all!

Word. I am mellow. I'm sure I will still go to the house of blues for the great bands that play there. But still I will avoid it if I can.

i do like that the OC HOB does have free parking, unlike the Hollywood one.

Both venues have great sound and decent bands tend to play there often..

as far as Bad Religion and Social D go, im sure theyre most stoked on playing your venues because of how awesome it works out for them when their tour managers settle with your venue at the end of the night.. Im guessing those bands are making 20 thousand minimum a night on sold out gigs. Times by how many days are in a week.. they wont get that at the Glasshouse or henry fonda theatre..and thats a shame, because those venues tend to be "more fun"

I like the Vegas H.O.B. I have seen some cool bands there. I don't have alot of choices in Vegas, so I see bands where I can. "The Joint" at the Hard Rock Hotel kinda sucks. Their sound mixers bite and all the good seats (when general admission isn't an option) are always saved for "high rollers" who never show up anyway. The only bad thing about H.O.B. is that their drink prices are bit high.
