Well I thought on this and I still want to go with my gut, this guy is a worthy canident for the death penalty. Now yeah he should be alowed to appeal his case untill there is no doubt at all about his guilt. I just simply don't believe you can rehibilitate someone like that.

Castration has been shown not to work. Since rape is an act of violence & power and not sexual desire, rapists have still been known to rape with their hands and objects after castration.

I think having him eaten by army ants or any other gnarly meat-eating insects would work well. The guy should suffer greatly. Yeah, and it's a fucked-up spectrum, because it often involves 18 year-olds that sleep with 17 year-olds in some more conservative parts of the US.

No, I believe in hard time, but that belief becomes somewhat precarious if I imagine myself in the shoes of the victim's family and friends.

The cost to keep them in jail for life is definitely ridiculous. And it's already been proven that real sex criminals (not the 18 year old having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend or whatever) cannot be rehabilitated. There is too big of a percentage that re offends. Then again, we also waste far too much money keeping people jailed on petty crimes, especially with the 3 strikes law.

And it's already been proven that real sex criminals (not the 18 year old having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend or whatever) cannot be rehabilitated. Yeah, it seems as though the system is beyond fixing, though. Mandatory sentences do not work because there is always someone who gets a punishment that doesn't fit the crime.
