So ya won't pay us.....

We get to the venue on Saturday and we find out that due to the high overhead on renting the place and that because The Black Halos had to cancel earlier in the week, we likely won't get paid as the draw will be poor.
To add insult to injury they also tell us that bands to do not get drink tickets nor discounts.
They also tell us that the remote control for the smoke machine is AWOL and that if we want to use it, we'll have to operate it ourselves.
OK, let's review shall we?
1. You have just told us that we are not going to get paid.
2. You have just told the people bringing people into your venue that you are charging us full price on booze.
2. You told us how to use your smoke machine.

The venue dumped this on us and the promoter at the same time. Yeah, we were pissed about it but we dealt with it...Childishly :)

We thought the whole light show/smoke machine was kinda silly. We're used to playin' dives and to be honest it's where we feel most at home. As far as not getting paid, I think we have more than a right to complain about that.
