I was dragged to see some crappy band at a big 10,000 seat arena.

You have to sit the entire time. Or you can stand IN PLACE. No mosh pit unless you paid for a 100 dollar ticket in advance.

The lawn seat monitors(Big ass TV's) are bigger than the stage from your perspective.

Gimme a basement show please. Hell, when I play, I prefer floor stages. I hope I'm never in a band that has to tour these "sheds" as they are referred to in the music industry.

FUCK THESE PLACES.

the end.

I stopped going to big venues years ago because its a "sterile" environment. Live music is supposed to be heard as well as felt.

Better off buying a fukkin DVD and watching it at home.

My requirements for seeing bands are generally that it will cost me less than $20 and I can buy a beer there. It's a good thing that every band that I have wanted to see in the last 5 years has met both of those requirements.

No shit. Too expensive and you feel like a rat in a cage. Going to smaller venues shows is more social and funner. It's the way music should be enjoyed.

I've NEVER been to an Arena gig. Oh, sorry I went to Wembley Arena once but that's not much bigger than a large cinema and you could stand, sit, collapse anywhere you wanted to.
I've always been put off by the fact that the bar would be half a mile away assuming alcohol is allowed on the premises.
If it takes longer to get a beer than it does to drink it I steer well clear.

Been to enough to know they blow dog dick for quarters. I might go depending on the band, but those chances are slim.

ChrisJones, for awhile there, I was afraid... You were making semi-intelligent posts. Now you went and made this one!

Now I no longer have to fear that something's happened to you... You're still the same old ChrisJones.

So I take it you like big concerts?

I mean, I know you have to attend them to see certain bands, but god gamn I would prefer at least a smaller venue with better sound and a view of the band that isn't 10 miles away.

Pleast expand on that. Open my mind jon.

The last few shows I`ve been to wer general admission, with pits! Fun!They were in mid sized venues. Dropkicks was a blast I managed to keep my front center stage spot through the whole show!!!Those rails come in handy!! Minimal bruising.

This could be fixed if you made more money. You need to work harder and apply yourself. Anything is possible if you try. Then, when you make more money, you can afford front-row tickets like me.

Generally speaking I think they suck. The only one I've been to that was good was Pennywise, Circle Jerks, and Adolescents. With a line up like that it was bound to be a great show. The beer was too expensive (8 bucks=12oz) and I got nailed in the face by some weird skinhead wearing eyeliner (peni?) and the floor seats were sold out way in advance. Good thing people were pissed and I had a chance to rush the door. LB arena.

The warped tour and ozzfest I have been to and both suck major donkey balls same problems I have with other shows plus as a bonus the sets are way shorter. Punk Rock was not meant to be played in the middle of the day.

Shit man where do you guys live? For Dropkicks our tickets were 28.00 and two beers and a shot of Jameson cost me 11.00!!!! No seats, general admission.

as much as id love to the depeche mode, duran duran, the police, the cure , iron maiden and morrissey in tiny places.. its just not likely to happen, ive seen em in huge places and have had tons of fun.. its really up to the person attending, ya could have fun anywhere if youre cool enough.

No it's ok. He claims he can measure intelligence levels by how one enjoys their music. That's just silly. I'd like to see a copy of that study.

See? I'm doing what you've done so many times before.

Which is basically what batter is doing now. But you've said it before too, about people on welfare.
