Most of what the authors consider mohawks and what punks consider to be actual mohawks is very different.

the real good colorful mohawks look good on certain people,. I am not one of them. I had a mohawk for just a month and decided that it was boring adn wau too popular today. in the past I had long hair always , and I also now started being completely shaved head. trying to find the new personal hairstyle but I dont think these examples are worth following to be honest. they are too ordinary for my taste,.

I had a hawk and cut it off so I could look presentable in court (it worked). since then I've been loving short hair.

You are definitely right about that Film Gal. I like to stand next to guys with jock hawks with my mohawk up.

I had mohawk for a month or so. I saw a picture of a cop in the paper with a mohawk about the same size as mine and cut it off right after that. its way too popular and send of a real bad signal todays Denmark I think but being relatively short hair with spikes or no hair at all works fine for me.:)

Some of those I wouldn't even think are faux hawks.

I see mohawks everywhere... I was getting fuel yeaterday in my work van, some dude gets outta his moms car (he's 28 or so) sportin a hawk and he's dressed all preppy. He looked at me like he's all badass so I took my hat off.

He looked at his feet and avoided eye contact until I left.

*edit...I see baldies everywhere too...

I remember being the first girl to get a mohawk in my second grade class. XD I haven't had one since then.

Mohawk has become a very relative term indeed. I personally didn't see a Mohawk in every picture. But to each his own I guess.

After helping my brother do up his mohawk everyday when I was a freshman in high school, my desire to get one soon ended. I got paid for helping since he tends to be lazy & mohawks requires a lot of work to put up for some people.
