View Full Version : Superbowl: Patriots going to destroy the Giants?

Is this what the proper story is? I don't follow football but I live in New England so it literally is shitting from the sky. Anyways, the Pats are this godlike team and the Giants are the underdogs who recently got lucky. Folks are comparing this to the Sox vs Rockies. They say it will be a slaughter.

No.
The story I keep hearing is that Patriots fans are scared, because The Giants are the team that came closest (well, The Ravens technically were, since they actually had them beat until a dumbass made a timeout call he shouldn't've made) to beating them.
Folks are dumb if they underestimate them or think that "they recently got lucky".
Anyway, The Patriots are not a godlike team, as the only team that was ever godlike was the 1985 Bears. And they would destroy The Patriots if they were to play them.
Oh wait, they did play The Patriots in 1985. And they won 46-10.
But I was talking about today's Patriots, anyway.

I highly doubt it will be a slaughter. The giants aren't lucky they are playing the best football they have played all season. Plus they scored more points against the Patriots in one game than any other team this season. I think the game will be close and Patriots will probably win but who can say.

if eli shows up to play, the giants might have a shot, otherwise they're going to get strung up.

It'd be pretty awesome to see two brothers win the Superbowl two years in a row.
That'll never happen again. It's a statistical anomaly for two brothers to even be IN the Superbowl two years in a row, and even moreso that they are both the "leader" of their team.

It won't be a slaughter. It better not be because I hope this will be a good game. I will be pissed if it isn't. Neither one is my favorite team, but I'm going for the Giants because they are from my hometown...even though they practice mostly in New Jeresy now.

It happened before in like 80 and 81 I think. I just saw something on TV about it.

But they still weren't QBs, right?

So I just heard newscasters say that Brady is faking a leg injury. Psyche warfare?

Possibly. But I don't see how anyone could think Brady would miss the Superbowl.

I'm not a big football fan. If I gave some very personal info you all would think I was a total bastard for not liking it and taking advantage. I would like to see the Giants slaughter the Patriots, but that would mean I'd have to get up early to power the possible ticker tape parade in NYC. As for what I think of the outcome I think the Giants could mash the Patriots.

I don't know. The game wasn't technically over but everyone rushed the field anyway.

Oh well. Nothing would've changed. That happens a lot, though.
Anytime I'm watching a game that a team has a lead at the end, and they take their final knee... The clock might still be running, but teams will go out and shake hands.

And you know what? They will be just as good next year. Here comes the 7th overall pick in the Draft.

I can count the number of times watching Football has excited me on one hand. That pass from Manning to Tyree during the last 2 minutes of the game was quite extraordinary. Manning for breaking free from alot of defensive guys, and Tyree for holding the ball between his helmet and his fingertips as he fell.
All my Pat loyalist friends were screaming at the TV all night, "Fucking protect Brady you assholes!" in reference to their pathetic offense.
Fun game. I still don't like football.

I was watching the game from Boston surrounded by all my Patriot fan friends. They were all in shock. It was pretty great. That pass by Manning to Tyree was one of the greatest plays I have ever seen.
