Interestingly I'm not even trying to abstain(wrong use of term? maybe?). I've been to at least 6 shows and 2 trivia nights drinking water! (gasp).
On new years I yacked extensively. Since then, beer just isn't appealing. Perhaps the subconscious is telling me something...

I've been on the verge of yacking all morning. Mixed waaaaay to many random shots last night when my plan was to just stick to beer.
Next weekend i'll just stick to beer....I swear.

Fuck, I miss brew -- can't drink anymore due to liver issues. There's been one lonely Blue Moon in my fridge for like 5 months.

I would be so sad if I couldn't have a beer. I developed the oh so healthy habit from my dad of unwinding after work with some cheap beers. If I yelled at the tv and beat my wife, I would be just like him

^I use to be okay with cheap beer i.e. pabst, but then I got into this whole micro brewery kick, and was starting to become a beer snob.

I can't drink good beers. It's not in my DNA. I am a cheap beer girl down in my soul.

I think about joining AA sometimes. I been cutting back but sometimes I realized I've gotten drunk every day for 5 or 6 days and I get depressed about being such a loser so then of course drink more to "deal" with my problems.
Otherwise congrats or whatever you want!

Turmeric is a good liver cleanser, too.

I didn't drink a drop for 7 1/2 years. Now I have a few drinks once in a while. I think my drinking problems had more to do with being too young to know better than actually being an alcoholic- not to say that's the case for everyone. Some people are genuinly alcoholics and AA can be a great thing.

My only drinking problem is that I was nothing to drink right now.

Drinking in moderation is fun and good for you if not too much..........but I don't see the point in getting wasted - not that I haven't done it, but it turns from fun to stupidity at that point........and you can cause long-term damage with heavy use. The problem is when it turns into a compulsion and/or a way to cope.
