Billy Idol, the guy who brought you the most punk rock song there could be in regards to a wedding, is about to spill all his dirty secrets. As we all know, musicians like Idol tend to stay in the spotlight for all the unruly behavior to keep the hard or “bad” reputation up. If those fist pumps and lip curls didn’t tell you that Idol was – and still is – the kind of guy who finds pleasure in rebellion and rock and roll, then maybe his next project will clue you in a bit more.
According to the Associated Press, the punk rocker who is now 54 years old will be writing a memoir that will dive into all his madness during his hectic career. Sex, drugs, you name it; it will all be in this book he’s writing. In honor of one of his best selling songs, the memoir will also be titled Dancing With Myself.
All we know so far is that Simon & Schuster division Touchstone announced the book will come out late 2011 or early 2012. As for Idol, all details he’s given are summed up in these words: “Going out on a limb here — so watch my back.”
