I've seen the first one. It was 4 years ago. Not really memorable.

I like johnny depp but...

Are these movies really that great? Their merchandise is everywhere. What the hell?

Eh they have their moments I guess, I liked the first one but the second one was terrible, and the last one was mediocer. It's popularity I think it has more to do with the average teenaged girls fascination with the actors than it does the movie itself.

Yeah, the first one was pretty great. The other two are just all right.

I really like them because I am a bit of a history buff and I enjoy movies about anything they don't really cover much. At the time they released the first movie there hadn't been a good pirate movie in a long time.

Obviously the story is fiction but a lot of the locations hold historical precedent.

You know I've noticed Jon can be a prick but he's usualy right.

The third one really just seemed to me like a bunch of long extended scenes where nothing happend.

Fair enough, maybe I just never really got the second one then.
Actually I saw the first and third in theaters, the second at home, that might have to do with why I don't care for the second one.

I just finished the 3rd one. It was decent. It did leave a cliff hanger for a 4th though.... heh.
