I saw it last night. all in all it was a pretty good film. I saw the first AVP but i have not seen any of the Predator or Aliens movies on their own.

I actually dont remember a whole lot of the first one because i only saw it once. I remember enjoying it, but again, I had nothing to go on. I can see why fans of the original movies thought it sucked though, because apparently the first AVP gave the aliens WAY too much credit, and i do remember the dialogue being pretty crappy. if anything, the first AVP created an interest in both the Predator and Alien movies that i never had before, not being much of a sci-fi fan at the time. I almost didnt see the first one, it was part of a crappy date.

It was total crap...as was Alien 3 & Ressurection...

i like alien3 more than predator2.

some aspects of the alien3 directors cut would have made the actual film much better, but meh, what ya gonna do.

no arguements on alien: resurrection.

they might as well release "the Jetsons meet the Flintstones 2"

when I think of crossovers I think of some kid sitting in his basement wearing his favorite Lord of the rings shirt thats two sizes too small writing internet blogs about how captain Picard is superior to captain Kirk. and how he would like to see a film were a galactic star desroyer takes on the starship enterprise.

and I think they could have come up with a better title than that. its just like that piece of shit Freddy vs. Jason movie.
Probably just another fanscript.

I liked Alien Resurrection due to the cast largely: Winona Ryder and Ron Perlmen spruced up the atmosphere a bit. The original is the best though of course. As for this Alien vs Predator jazz, I just don't know--I just don't know.

Look here, Negative Nancy: if i wanna wear my shirt two sizes too small and lurk in the basement who are you to say i cant??:D its an enjoyable combination (atleast to me)...two ugly-yet-interesting looking monsters duking it out in the sewers of suburban america. its not something i would consider the greatest piece of film of all time, but ive come to accept that if two hollywood movies gather enough of a following and make enough money independantly, and have a similar subject matter, the suits at The Office will most likely combine the two to make more money. most times, its a bad idea, but ive come to accept it.
