According to a member on another forum I visit quite often, I am a pretentious twat who thinks I know more than anyone else. Now really, I try to be nice online, in fact I'm probably nicer online than I am in real life because a) I have no friends in real life and b) people can't always gage one's 'tone' or intent when they are just reading text on a screen.

In many ways, on this site particularly, I have been quite a pussy in response to certain topics/threads/etc. because I like it here but I don't know, maybe I should really act more like the alpha bitch that I am.

This is just a random thought and one I expect no responses to.

You probably just struck a nerve with that person. Some people like to think you are singling them out when all you are doing is making a general statement. Has happened plenty here.

Does it really matter what people think of you on some random forum board? If you have to hide online to people you don't know, imagine how pathetic real life is. If you didn't expect a response you wouldn't have posted it.

Yeah, I hold back on a lot of stuff too because I like to avoid doing the dick-dance with random people over the internet. Doesn't seem worth the time. I only like arguing with people face to face. At least then I know why the argument started, and the opponent is easier to read (instead of trying to understand how a person is feeling through a bunch of text and emoticons on here).

And like you said, I like the people here too... This is really the only internet forum I come to.
