I'm a contestant in a brain eating contest this coming Saturday, cow brains I believe.

I've had lamb before, but it was also cooked and prepared in garlic sauce. These, obviously, will be cooked, but I doubt there'll be any added flavouring to them. Has anyone else eaten brains before?

My grandparents tried to pass them off as scrambled eggs one morning. Almost worked, except a fragment from the .22 they used to put down the cow before they butchered it gave it away. I finally tried them in a taco when I was living in SoCal, but with all the seasonings, it was just mystery meat - nothing brainy about it.

Yeah.. I've heard brain by itself tends not to have too much of a taste, but is very buttery when prepared right. When I had it, it looked solid, but my fork just sunk right into it like a mush.

You must really be a competitive person, your prize could consist of the rest of the cows head as a souvenir, what was last years prize?

Nah, I figured I might as well participate, I mean, I'll already be dressed up as a zombie.. And I'm not sure what last year's prize was, I wasn't there for it.

Wouldn't mind the rest of the cow though.. Mm..

In Wales they brew a beer called 'Brains'. Think I'd rather be a beer swilling zombie than put cow's grey matter in my mouth.

Then again I've not tried it....

Didn't you guys invent mad cow disease? I wouldn't get near cow brains either if I lived over there. Why didn't you stop that jackass who said, "I've got it! Let's feed dead cows to the cows. They'll never know the difference!"?

I used to eat cow and pig brains when I was growing up. The only seasoning we used was salt and pepper. Like you said, they have kind of a buttery flavor to them. You could probably just slurp it up off your plate like jello. I think this would be an ideal tactic. You won't have to chew and they will just slide down.

Because we have as liitle influence over our Government Agricultural Policy as we do any other part of our lives. And they thought most people are so thick it would,'t make any difference anyway.

I've gotta be careful with the slurping though, I'd probably choke.. Undoubtedly I'll be a tad bit drunk by then. Haha
