One of my favorite poets of the moment is Steven Jesse Bernstein.
He was friends with Burroughs.
Signed to Sub Pop.
Died a very painful death, but wrote some really cool stuff before that.
One of his poems are also used in the movie Natural Born Killer.

Christopher Moore. He writes about vampires etc., but not in an Ann Rice "I'm so goth I shit bats" kind of way. I first found out about him at the beginning of the year & quickly powered through every book he's written. I recommend reading his books as they were released chronologically, since the characters & stories tend to intertwine.
