Yes they clinched. By losing. Didn't someone tell me the Yankees were going to fall out of first? I wonder who that was.

Doesn't matter, they'll lose to the Cardinals in the WS in seven games.

Oh okay.

I'm serious, I think Carpentar and Wainright are going to destroy every line-up they face.

Their bullpen is a concern.

True, and I'll take Rivera over Franklin any day of the week. But I'm still going with the Cards this year. But if for some reason beyond me that they don't win the NL Pennant, I'll take the Yankees over the Dodgers, Phillies, or Rockies. (lets face it my Braves have too little too late) I don't think any of those teams have enough pitching to take the Yankees in a best of seven. And I don't see anyone in the AL matching up with New York that well.

Yes the Cards certainly do have the pitching. We'll have to see. Yeah I agree that no one in the AL seems to match up to well with the Yankees.

You national leaguers aren't even worried about the Phillies?

The yankees hitting is beyond great but they have one ace pitcher and the rest of just a cast of mediocre weakness.(ok maybe burnett, but chamberlain?...pfft, he is lucky he has a job) Not to mention yanks bullpen is sketchy up until closing time.

The sox have the only chance to shut down yankees hitting, and unfortunately we can't accomplish that. If the sox and yanks go at it in the ALCS it will be one of the most interesting of rivalry matchups between the two. And that's just going in. Who knows how the games will play out. Obviously I will be rooting for Jeter and Tiexiera to strike out looking ALOT.

One week to go!

Angels! But I don't see them in the final 2 unless they get their shit together.
But I think Yankees are going to take it again.

I do not understand the American fascination with such an actionless `sport`.

The Red Sox will kill the Angels yet again in post season. They play the base running game, the sox do the doubles and long ball game.
