ABOUT THE TRAUMA DOLLS
DATE: 12/12/2007 18:43:10 / MOOD: other
The idea of combining a unique blend of rock influences into an explosive mixture was the catalyst for the formation of The Trauma Dolls. Solidifying the line-up in early 2007, the band is quickly growing into a modern, rock powerhouse consistently impressing audiences throughout an ever-widening region. The Trauma Dolls demonstrate their vision in highly energetic, intense live shows. Their combination of powerful rock sensibilities with irresistible melodies and a look that says 'these guys mean business' appeals to a broad audience spectrum, and provides the ingredients for an unforgettable rock experience.
With Todd Owens on vocals, Billy England and Scott Fleegle on guitars, Mike Rustad on bass and drummer Bill Mendoza, the band creates a mayhem that borders on chaos. Playing and touring since early their formation, it’s easy to see by the reaction of crowd that their regional following never fails them. Once Owens takes the stage, find your spot amongst the mob quick or you’ll end up against a wall. Their post-punk sound will have you shaking, banging or whatever it is you choose to do when you’re gettin’ loose.
Recently back on the scene, The Trauma Dolls are ready to corrupt everything you know to be pure. They will hit you head on with their blatant lyrics and unabashed entertainment. Todd Owens is an energetic and engrossing front man who literally loses his shirt to the crowd. His enthusiasm is obvious by the number of bruises, blisters and cuts he endures from fronting the band throughout their set. Formally known as The Bottle Babies, The Trauma Dolls recruited Scott Fleegle and Bill Mendoza after the loss of their lead guitarist and drummer.
Backed by fierce, high-powered guitars, aggressive drumming and a sturdy bass, these guys will kick your ass with their ruthless brand of in-your-face punk n' roll.
