Punk Rock

So Punk Rock.....I was asked why i have the hair i do and why i
go out of my way to "look like a Punk" and too spike my hair. The
person asked me what point i was trying to get accross and what
statement i was trying to present by "going out of my way to be punk".
Do you have a reason to rebel or a fight that you would like to
win? Was a Question that came up. And i said Yes. I do have somthing
worth fighting for and i do have a couse for the reason i am pissed. i
dont go out of my way look a certain way its what i am and what im
trying to stand up for. Punk rock is a voice, it means diffrent things
to diffrent people, from political to family related problems to
breaking up with ur girl friend. it has diffrent meanings. but for me
its more of a power struggle. Punk gives me the strength to say "hey
fuck you i have somthing to say, and i will say it" Now what
i told this guy was that, life for me will be harder because society as
a whole is racist and judges people because of what they look like and
what their background is. i kept on going by sayingim a minority
living in a whit suburbian town filled with people that are judgemental
and will not give people a chance unless they are up to their
standerds. He laughed......i followed by telling himI
came from a broken home i never once livid with my dad and i never see
him. my mother and i have been struggling all of our life making ends
meet without all of the nice things i see all the kids around me
having. i dont wana make my life sound bad cuz it wasnt but there was
times wer we were living in kind of hmmmmmm bad situations. i kept on going that punk rock is what helps me express my feelings and actually do somthing about it.now
i cant really get into the whats for my actual struggles because those
things remain extreamly private but until i am not juged and looked
down upon for what i am or what i look like i will just keep at it. FYI i dont think i look punk at all lol it cost money to look like that and thats somthing i dont have.so fuck you al
