Krishna-core

04/16/2012 01:26:24 / other

There has been a time, from '94 to 2000 more or less, when I listened to a lot of Krishna-core. Obviously the first name that come to mind is the Shelter (Ray Cappo - no wait, now his name is Raghunath Cappo and he teaches yoga http://www.raghunath.org/), and Mantra was and still is one one my fav albums. But I found many other groups, for example these Seekers of the Truth, a french hc-band. I am listening to "Out of ignorance", it's like - well, if you read the lyrics, it's like reading Mantra's lyrics... :D

Well I listened to some CfA. I've been fascinated by the straight-edge ideology for a period of my life. One of the things I find - uh, nice in Krishna-core is that it is hardcore, but with some melody in it. It is not totally chopped in disconnected parts. Btw I like hc for it is disconnected, so I'm inconsistent :D

You might like "Cause for Alarm" from New York City. Personally, I don't really like Krishna Core, but to each their own.
