1984 THE DEATH OF PUNK
04/28/2008 16:03:26 / other
WE ARE IN A REVOLUTION! Punk signaled its FINAL MESSAGE when it came to maturity in the early 80s, then we got pround, drunk and destroyed our own movement (which has been trying to rediscover itself since). the death of punk (as we knew it back then) came when we did violence for its own sake, not against the "man". we had to mature.
now there are punk elders. every permutation of metal and singing about beer, fucking and violence has been expressed, for the elders of punk to unify we must rock out again.
book our band in the east coast. help us piggyback on a well established touring band. we are only about the music and the message, not the ego.
i play drums and sing simultaneously. someone in east coast florida show called me "Phil Rollins". a trivia question if you know why write back.
punk lives for sure. expression even though sometimes pointed towards general destruction is a start for some people, so i don't judge it. just those who can talk intelligently about what punk is about.. they carry punk in their hearts, i honor you, salute you, and you are my brother and sister.
sign up on our myspace friends list. help us tour. this music is all written in my early 80s band "Sector 4". it was a powerful and prophetic message against the machine. thats why i have done this new band "its 1984", to expose the NWO and their schemes to enslave the world.
One Planet One People. Rock On my friends.-Phil Rollins www.myspace.com/itsnineteeneightyfour
