I'm under cover with some spies, about to plant a bug. Or rather, to be more precise, I am in a stylish, modern flat in a riverside block in Newcastle, with a man called Ed and a man called Ian, and a young couple who have barely slept in six months.
The target lives in a neighbouring flat. He has a stereo in his living room and a stereo in his bedroom. He goes clubbing twice a week, and usually brings the club home. Every time Manchester United play, he has a party. “I think he's also got a new drum kit,” adds the husband, helplessly. He has never spoken to this neighbour. He was going to once. Another neighbour got there first. It sounded as though there was going to be a fight.
Ed asks for silence, so that he can calibrate the machine. Outside, we can hear cars and seagulls. And then, bang on cue, there is a thump. The wife gives a nervous laugh.
Depending on who you ask, Ed Foster and Ian Cross are “snoopers” (most newspapers), “Town Hall Stasi” (one newspaper), “instruments of a creeping Orwellian state” (Chris Huhne, the Lib Dems' home affairs spokesman) and “eroding our fundamental freedoms” (Dominic Grieve, the Shadow Home Secretary). These are the people that David Davis was so concerned about, the ones whom the Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph insist are hell-bent on misusing “anti-terrorist legislation” and turning Britain into a bleak facsimile of Cold War East Germany.
Ask Newcastle City Council, however, and it will tell you that Foster (clean-cut, bespectacled) and Cross (greyer, looks like a former policeman; is one) are council employees in the environment section. Its team plants around 60 of these “bugs” each year, in response to about 8,000 complaints about noise.
Only the police or security services can actually bug your house. The local council has to bug the house next door. They're not small, bugs. This one is a large DAT recorder sealed in a plastic suitcase, with a wire that leads to a microphone on a stand. It's not exactly Mission: Impossible. It certainly doesn't feel like a spy mission. It just feels like two helpful chaps in ties, fiddling with a high-tech Walkman. But maybe that's just me.
The fuss about surveillance, or at least the latest round of it, kicked off earlier this year, in Poole. Remember that? It concerned school applications. For a period of weeks, officials had been studying the movements of parents, to establish that they lived where they claimed they did. Cue media fandango. The surveillance was conducted under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA), invariably otherwise known as “anti-terror legislation”. Of which more later.
Speaking to a House of Lords committee on Wednesday, Vernon Coaker, the Policing Minister, finally agreed to crack down on local authority surveillance. There have been too many stories, peers felt, about town halls spying on people who put their bins out on the wrong day, or who let their dogs poo where a dog should not. “We have to stop some of these other things happening,” said Coaker, to growls of approval.
Perhaps you're growling yourself. Perhaps even my vignette above, from Newcastle, made you shudder. The Lives of Others. Surveillance society. Stasi Britain. All that. A land where neighbour denounces neighbour, CCTV cameras watch our every move and robots trawl through our dustbins, looking for mouldy aubergine in the recycling section.
A spokesman for the pressure group Liberty called the Poole affair “hugely intrusive”. In time, it emerged that many councils were using RIPA powers, some of them quite frequently. Newspapers began campaigns, Keith Vaz, MP, the chairman of the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, declared himself “personally shocked” and various people began to promise that various things would be done. And, in Newcastle, the council leader, John Shipley, began to grow alarmed.
His officers didn't use covert surveillance in investigations connected to schools, bins or dog poo, but they did use it in plenty of other areas. And yet Councillor Shipley was confident that they weren't doing anything wrong, or even anything that would sound wrong. So, whereas most local authorities prefer to keep quiet about their RIPA use, he decided that Newcastle should come clean. He demanded full details of all surveillance activities, and he made sure that all of his fellow council members knew about them as well. Then, before anybody asked him to, he explained it all to the local press. No other council in Britain thought to do this. If the public tend to be frightened about surveillance, this could give us a clue as to why.
“I have seen nothing that has caused me concern,” shrugs Councillor Shipley, in a wood-panelled boardroom in Newcastle Civic Centre. “And we have had no complaints. Zero. None. Not one.” Shipley and his officers crack a few jokes about my Dictaphone, and then began to school me in the legal technicalities of directed surveillance - “the covert surveillance of a particular person, or for the purposes of a specific investigation, where private information about any individual is likely to be obtained”.
RIPA is a new-ish law, but it did not grant new powers. Councils have always had the power to spy on people. Before conducting surveillance on anybody, a council officer now has to fill out an extensive form. I see a recent one, which is an application to record the noise of a barking dog. It is very, very long. “Installation of a Digital Audio Tape (DAT) recording device into the complainant's address,” it says, at the most exciting bit, “for a period of one week in order to record noise (barking dog).”
Between April 2007 and July 2008, covert directed surveillance, as authorised under the aforementioned RIPA, was used in Newcastle a total of 123 times. Possibly this is fewer than most - Sir Christopher Rose, the Chief Surveillance Commissioner, reckons that, across the country, around 30 authorisations are granted each day. In Newcastle, around half were the result of noise complaints, as above. Of the remainder, most were concerned with either tenancy affairs in council housing or the misuse of parking permits. Both basically involve watching people, to check that they live where they say they do. Other councils watch people putting out bins or walking their dogs in much the same way. If you're watching people, and you are hiding it, then it is covert. That's what covert means.
To see how this works, I visit Newcastle's parking centre, which doubles as the city centre's main CCTV control room, under a multistorey car park and between John Lewis and M&S. The modern CCTV camera is slightly chilling in its efficiency. It can pan from side to side and zoom in to a far higher resolution than you might expect.
Out on the street, once you know what you are looking for, they are everywhere - black, opaque demi-globes. The ones that actually look like cameras tend to be either for traffic management or low-tech security systems owned by shops.
One CCTV headquarters is pretty much like another. I have seen a few. Big Brother may be watching us, but he doesn't seem very interested. Usually you will find a couple of uniformed operatives flicking from camera to camera. Sometimes they call the police, sometimes the police call them. With a journalist in the building, they usually remember not to yawn. Most cameras record, which means that, under an RIPA request, tapes can be pulled. Under the Data Protection Act, every member of the public theoretically has the right to see tapes every time they can be identified on CCTV. Not a lot of people know that.
CCTV is an invaluable resource for surveillance, but cameras are not (yet) on every street corner in the land. Elsewhere, you need actual human beings. I meet Heather Buchan, who heads Newcastle's parking team, and Lawrence Gray, one of her officers. Both seem bemused that their routine investigations could be considered anything other than unremarkable.
As in the bad old days out East, most investigations begin with an anonymous tip-off from a member of the public. For the parking team, these tend to concern the misuse of blue disabled bad-ges, or people obtaining residents' permits for places where they don't actually live.
“Usually, officers will sit in an unmarked car,” says Gray. “With a camcorder.” “Or they'll use the hidden camera,” adds Buchan. “On the back window.” A hidden camera sounds quite exciting. How does it differ from a normal camera? “It's hidden,” Buchan explains. “Normally under a cushion.” CSI this is not. Should the anonymous tip-off prove unfounded, does the watchee ever know that he or she has been watched? Buchan and Gray exchange a glance. The answer is no. But at least 90 per cent of the time, says Gray, the tip-off proves correct.
Most newspapers seem incapable of referring to RIPA without dubbing it an “anti-terror law”, as though its employment by local authorities is inevitably some sort of heavy-handed abuse. On Wednesday, in that House of Lords committee, their lordships did the same. As any council officer, lawyer or unhysterical crime journalist will wearily tell you, this simply isn't the case. In 2000, true enough, it applied only to the police and security services. As Home Secretary in 2003, David Blunkett extended the law to apply to local authorities and other public bodies, to be used for exactly the purposes that are now, suddenly, so controversial.
If Vernon Coaker means it, and local authorities are to have their powers curbed, let nobody pretend that this is not a serious U-turn. Only in July, Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, was insisting that “these powers can make a real difference in delivering safer communities and protecting the public, whether enabling us to gain that vital intelligence that will prevent a terrorist attack or working to tackle antisocial behaviour.” Smith, and Blunkett before her, may now feel that their conflation of terrorism and antisocial behaviour was a bit of a mistake, politically speaking. And yet, for many, it's the latter that affects their lives far more. Under RIPA, as people keep telling me, surveillance has to be “proportionate”. It's a very vague term. Dog poo and neighbour noise sound like trivial matters only when it's not your sleep that is being interrupted or your front garden that is squidgy and brown.
So here I am with Foster and Cross as they plant their bug in this rather chic Tyneside flat. The couple here are thrilled. They first called the police half a year ago, only to be told to call the council instead. TV dinners are abandoned steaming on a coffee table as Foster shows them what to do. There is a button on a cable protruding from the bug, like a weather man might have on his slide projector. When the noise starts, they should push it; when it stops, they should push it again. Foster and Cross will be back in a week.
In a certain light, it's hard to deny that this can all look quite sinister. The object of this complaint will already know that he has been complained about, but he won't know who did the complaining. He will have been visited by noise officers, but he won't know who sent them. He will know that he may be recorded, but he won't know which neighbour will be taping him, or when. If the noise ends, he'll never even know if he was recorded or not. If the noise continues, the council may seek a noise abatement order - a sort of auditory ASBO. Farther down the line it may seek a warrant to enter his property and take away his stereos. Maybe his drum kit, too.
You may find all this rather chilling, in a country such as ours. You may wonder if an Englishman's home will ever be his castle again. Me, I just think of that weary couple, not wanting any more trouble, just wanting some sleep. And, you know, I'm not so fussed.

It is very interesting to know that these U-boat attacked American and Argentina ships and killed more than 400 people 2 months after the end of the war. But, British and American government made it confidential and allowed German submarines to land safely in Patagonia. Why can this happen? Well, it is nothing odd to me as I understand Britain's Churchill is controlled by Rothschild while Adolf Hitler was financed by Rothschild and he himself could be a Rothschild. So, Hitler could be one of 50 Nazi officials who were helped by Churchill (A Jewish) and Truman (A Jewish) to escape to Argentina. In 1991 a sunken U-boat was found 60 Miles away from New Jersey coast. Later it was identified as U-‚W‚U‚X. The U-boat was loaded with bodies of crew and torpedoes. No such record was available in entire war history of U.S., U.K. and Germany. It was on June 3, 1946.
So, was Hitler really in Argentina?
Stalin once told the then Secretary of State of America, Jimmy Byrnes that Hitler escaped either to Spain or Argentina. Was Fuhler really alive and fled to third country? You can find several sources that tells you about Hitler in Argentina. A British TV Channel 4 broadcasted on May 22, 2003 a documentary about Hitler in Argentina in which a female employee of Eden Hotel in Argentina witnessed Hitler's stay in the hotel.

It ended up with a woman who worked at the eden hotel, somewhere in argentina telling how hitler had come to stay, even what he ate and the music he liked.... One day after, he just disappeared....Even the FBI had agents in countries looking for him due to the amount of sightings. Many still believe the brits had him and sheltered him in their berlin sector.@Channel4's really starting to get good at these now.
This hotel employee is identified as Catalina Gamero who was requested by her ex-boss, Eda Einhorn to not to tell the secret.

The hotel seems to be still in use as museum. The legend of Hitler is still described as "A popular local myth has it that Hitler himself spent some time here, in one of the outlying cabaEs, after faking his death, fleeing Germany, and emigrating to Argentina along with Adolf Eichmann et al.". And this legend could be a true historical fact.

Too many sightings have been reported to FBI, therefore, FBI also could not keep quiet and have made investigations.

After the failed soviet search, the Soviets did assume that Hitler had escaped as that was the statement that Stalin made to Truman and Churchill during the Potsdam conference that "Hitler had escaped and no traces of him were found." The statement that Hitler had committed suicide was deduced by the UK and was believed by the rest of the world.
The other is from a writer in Argentina. He has specified where Hitler lived and furnished us many photos, too.

 On September 30 the Army Times released a story that made observers of increased domestic militarization a bit uneasy. The article, entitled "Brigade homeland tours starts October 1," stated that beginning in October the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) would be placed under the control of U.S. Army, which is the segment of Northern Command that deals with the Army (Cavallaro, no pagination). For the next 12 months, the 1st BCT will be used "as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks" (no pagination).
While this is not the first time an active duty unit has been called on to help at home, this is the first time, according to the article's author Gina Cavallaro, that "an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities" (no pagination). When the BCT is deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan in 2010, another active duty unit will take its place, meaning that Americans can expect the involvement of active duty brigades domestically for a long time (no pagination).

One of the most ominous aspects of the BCT's training is the use of what 1st BCT commander Colonel Roger Cloutier refers to as "the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded" (no pagination). While the article claims that the non-lethal crowd control package field to the 1st BCT is strictly for warzone deployments, it would be negligent not to appreciate the possible domestic applications (no pagination).
Is this a prelude to martial law? As our good friend and Beyond the Grassy Knoll talk show host Vyzygoth is always quick to point out, such claims should be met with a fair degree of skepticism. After all, how many times have such claims only led to fatter wallets for phony patriots like Alex Jones?
Still, the 1st BCT's new mission does raise legitimate cause for concern. It implies that the government is anticipating civil unrest, as it should. Unfortunately, the government has a long history of prostituting itself out to a power elite that is criminal nature, so Uncle Sam should fully expect to be on the receiving end of a lot of righteous indignation. The outrage felt by the people of America has been in the making for years. It has been built on a multitude of scandals stemming from collaboration between the United States government and extremely rich people who believe that America's democratic institutions are antiquated and need to be replaced with oligarchy. The recent $700 billion bailout, however, was the straw that broke the camel's back. When Main Street began to suffer the ill-effects of a deteriorating economic situation, it was told that it would have to adjust and make sacrifices in order to adapt to structural changes. But when Wall Street began facing a crisis stemming from bubbles it had created, the government was quick to obligate us to buy the assets from banks that could not get liquidity anywhere. This is comparable to insuring a gambler for a weekend in Vegas. Americans recognize the double standard at play here.
If the bailout causes the government to start to crumble because of hyperinflation, will the power elite return the favor and help bail the government out? The answer is, of course, a resounding "no." The pimp has no reason to bail the prostitute out of jail when the money is firmly is his hand. There is no such thing as reciprocity for a group whose practices are purely parasitical in nature. When the government has changed from an asset to a liability, the power elite will simply cast it off like an old suit and look for a new host to latch onto. That means Uncle Sam will be left to deal with an extremely ticked population. They are prepared to do so with our own Armed Forces.
Martial law seems to be an inevitability when one looks at the long-term. We have been on a collision course with it since Americans failed to show any unified moral outrage over the gross excesses displayed at Waco and Ruby Ridge. The government's recent moves, however, seem more so designed to deal with periodic unrest that will be the result of an increasingly intolerable environment. Martial law is still off in the distance, perhaps even decades away. The problem we face right now is a crisis of conscience that our men and women in the Armed Services will find themselves facing more and more as their domestic role increases simply to prevent America's social fabric from being torn apart. Will soldiers be able to turn their weapons on fellow Americans if, God forbid, push comes to shove? Or will they see someone's mother, father, son, daughter, best friend, or neighbor when they look at us from under helmets and through cross hairs? The current situation may provide many soldiers with the opportunity to reacquaint themselves with their humanity.
But the people in the Armed Services have to overcome a lot of negative indoctrination. An article in Parameter Magazine, the official publication of the Army War College, most painfully illustrates this reality. In that article, entitled "The New Warrior Class," Peters opens with the following remarks:
The soldiers of the United States Army are brilliantly prepared to defeat other soldiers. Unfortunately, the enemies we are likely to face through the rest of this decade and beyond will not be "soldiers," with the disciplined modernity that term conveys in Euro-America, but "warriors"--erratic primitives of shifting allegiance, habituated to violence, with no stake in civil order. Unlike soldiers, warriors do not play by our rules, do not respect treaties, and do not obey orders they do not like. Warriors have always been around, but with the rise of professional soldieries their importance was eclipsed. Now, thanks to a unique confluence of breaking empire, overcultivated Western consciences, and a worldwide cultural crisis, the warrior is back, as brutal as ever and distinctly better-armed. Who are the "erratic primitives" that constitute the "new warrior class?" Peters states: "Most warriors emerge from four social pools which exist in some form in all significant cultures" (no pagination). He proceeds to enumerate the four social pools and their respective warrior offspring:
First-pool warriors come, as they always have, from the underclass (although their leaders often have fallen from the upper registers of society). The archetype of the new warrior class is a male who has no stake in peace, a loser with little education, no legal earning power, no abiding attractiveness to women, and no future. With gun in hand and the spittle of nationalist ideology dripping from his mouth, today's warrior murders those who once slighted him, seizes the women who avoided him, and plunders that which he would never otherwise have possessed. In other words, the "first-pool" of "erratic primitives" is composed of unattractive and patriotic males who suffer the misfortune of occupying a lower layer of socioeconomic stratum. Bear in mind, Peters is serious. Inherent in such a contention is credence to the Darwinian concept of sexual selection. Like male birds that must flaunt their plumage in order to sexually attract potential mates, men must now meet a demanding aesthetic criteria or be deemed unfit to breed. Men who take issue with such a shallow criteria are summarily deemed a "threat" to be expunged through force. Also inherent in this contention is credence to the Malthusian economics of Herbert Spencer. Lower income means a lower form of life and, thus, relegates one to the category of "worthless eater." Finally, Peters' disdain for the "spittle of nationalist ideology" echoes the globalist sentiments of the power elite.
These younger males are potential recruits for the "warriors." They, too, must be expunged. Reiterating his globalist contentions, Peters proceeds to identify patriots as the next class of "warrior":
The third pool of warriordom consists of the patriots. These may be men who fight out of strong belief, either in ethnic, religious, or national superiority or endangerment, or those who have suffered a personal loss in the course of a conflict that motivates them to take up arms. (no pagination)
This particular variety of "warrior" would probably oppose the amalgamation of its respective nation-state into a global government. Therefore, it must be eradicated as well. Finally, Peters reveals the fourth "pool":
Dispossessed, cashiered, or otherwise failed military men form the fourth and most dangerous pool of warriors. Officers, NCOs, or just charismatic privates who could not function in a traditional military environment, these men bring other warriors the rudiments of the military art--just enough to inspire faith and encourage folly in many cases, although the fittest of these men become the warrior chieftains or warlords with whom we must finally cope. These soldiers of the "obsolete military paradigm" have no place in the new society. The duty of the new soldier no longer involves the protection of nation, family, or the traditional way of life. Now, the new soldier's duty is to impose the will of the elite. The old guard must be weeded out and treated as enemies of the government they once served with loyalty and honor.
American servicemen and women may have to overcome years of indoctrination into ideas not unlike those espoused in Peters' article. Parameters is not some benign magazine handed out in the Mess Hall. It is a publication that helps shape the paradigms and policies that govern our national defense. Will soldiers performing their duties in the domestic sphere view us as fellow human beings, or will we be seen as warriors emerging from one of the four social pools referred to in Peters' article? God help us if is the latter.

Dearth of freethinking. Citizens moved enough by words to ignore evidence, frightened enough to simply "Trust us."A nation of consumers as easily and predictably manipulated as sheep into working hard and paying hard for their own demise while refusing to even imagine the ultimate sacrifice of America to gods of the New World Order. That’s about it, the rest is lies. Sometimes pretty lies, blinding we’re-number-one lies, trust-us lies. "Terrorists!" lies, and reassuring lies...but always, lies.Two thousand years ago, five centuries before the collapse of Rome, Tiberius Caesar announced, "I want my sheep shorn, not shaven." In America, especially since the sheep have just been gored for another trillion dollars—this time to reward financial mavens for catastrophic economic effects of their sheer greed, virtually no taxpayer benefit, American shears have been covered with skin, blood, meat.The sheep are stirring. But the "Raiders", First Brigade Combat Team of the Army’s Third Division, deployed on home soil as of October 1, have been specially trained to use the first-ever modular, nonlethal package of weapons the Army has fielded. Unruly and dangerous, in "elite-speak" means anyone who cares enough about the scuttling of America to do something that might actually help...people who understand that in the horrors of the last eight years there have been no accidents. America is where it is by design. What is this new modular package of nonlethal weapons the Raiders will be employing; what might a protester experience if subjected to Raider kinds of crowd control? Microwaves to make their skin feel aflame. Lasers to scramble their vision. Ballistic beanbags to knock out their wind, or medium-range aluminum pellets for savage electric shocks. There’s radio frequency and acoustic weapons to vibrate their internal organs. Curdler units and squawk boxes to menace their brain through their ears.... With many of these new crowd control devices the line between nonlethal and lethal is a fine one—but who said citizens should be protesting in the first place?The Constitution has provisions for the people to save themselves from tyranny, from a government out of control. Founders of our Democratic Republic went to elaborate lengths to safeguard the people from government—and these were brilliant men, highly-educated intellectuals such as we so desperately need working for the common good. But the safeguards have been methodically gutted to "protect people from terrorists"—a sacrifice-of-freedom-for-safety subterfuge leading most insidiously toward criminalizing dissent. If you protest the way citizens must if a Democratic Republic is to be preserved, you can now be declared an enemy combatant....The "peoples’" government finally, exclusively and ultimately belongs to the elite. Sure, the people just voted to choose a new leader, were pacified with illusions of a voice—even pacified with a "win". But our new leader has long been property of the elite, chosen by the elite before the people even got a look at the goods. He owes the elite everything, owes the people nothing, and we are left holding a bag marked HOPE, and, CHANGE, hoping it is not empty.Perhaps the reason that the recent presidential "election" was not such an obvious exercise in GOP fraud as the two that installed this person as Commander In Chief is sheer raw power of the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg, and Council On Foreign Relations variety. Ultimate, elite power that few Americans are even aware of.And regarding the new "nonlethal" package of weapons ready for deployment against Americans in America...as far back as 1970, importance of such technology was being touted, tools for the elites in managing a society that would become increasingly controlled and directed. While still a professor at Columbia University, future U.S. National Security Advisor under president Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, was quoted as saying:"Unhindered by the restraints of traditional liberal values, this elite would not hesitate to achieve its political ends by using modern techniques for influencing public behavior and keeping society under close surveillance and control. Technical and scientific momentum would then feed on the situation it exploits." (also: The Military’s Pandora’s Box)This is the same Brzezinski who, along with David Rockefeller, created the Illuminati’s Trilateral Commission in 1973. Dedicated to a fascist dictatorship one world government, the Trilateral Commission is symbiotic with the Bilderberg Group, and the Council on Foreign Relations (please see: The Goodbye Republic ).The same Russian-hating Brzezinski who was often closeted during the Carter administration because of his nihilist "Dr. Strangelove" persona...same man who was back at Columbia a few years later as advisor for Obama’s senior thesis. Menace from within jeopardizing the very remains of our Constitutional Republic, and at no time have Americans been less up to the challenge. Our two greatest assets are intelligence, and sheer numbers, in that order. We stand doomed, and in great majority, in that order—or so it seems. Neutralizing our numerical advantage is the playground of all the exotic new weapons; the dumbing down of America has been the most successful of federal programs.How successful? Americans have been stupefied into voting for politicians who play up ignorance as a virtue. Nearly 50 million Americans recently voted to have Sarah Palin an inevitable cancer cell replication away from being, "Jeez!" Commander In Chief. Yes, almost 50 million votes for "The Chick" who thinks Africa is a nation—and how many of those voters might imagine that in fact, Africa is a continent (continent...is that like a condiment)? One in five think the sun orbits the earth. Despite serious evidence that earth is far older than six thousand years, among "rich" countries, America has by far the highest, and the fastest growing percentage of Christian fundamentalists—a pathetic majority of which lack significant understanding of their chosen religion. Almost two-thirds of Americans want creationism taught in school beside evolution. A survey ten years ago by the University of Texas revealed that one in four biology teachers in the state’s public schools believed that humans and dinosaurs coexisted. The examples are as shocking and numerous as the anti-moron alerts that come with "dangerous" consumer goods such as kitchen ranges, warning consumers not to lay a baby on a hot burner....Comic Relief Alert!...where would the Darwin Awards be without Americans?It’s gotten so bad that a mushrooming generalized hostility toward knowledge has joined with popular belief that evidence does not matter, only opinion...and the result is widespread illusion that truth is what you want it to be. Ignorance and stupidity, if they even matter, are desirable.That gets us to 9/11, and to profoundly dumbed-down America still choosing to ignore evidence in favor of Official Fairytales. This kind of irrationality is crucial to the elite’s New World Order plans for taking over the planet—plans that could be jeopardized without the citizenry’s essential ignorance and stupidity so meticulously nurtured by the elite.For the people, on the other hand, three collective improvements seem crucial for Americans to have any hope of saving the Republic—of saving ourselves and any vital creative impulse:1) Mass exposure of 9/11 truth through mass exposure of the actual evidence. Shine the exposed reality upon evil spawn of 9/11 such as the war on terror (permanent war), and mangling of the Constitution. Let the truth help burn from the American psyche the very concept: "Oh! They’d never do that!" In a pathocracy such as ours, there is virtually nothing they wouldn’t do...except for consistently telling the truth.2) Establish a new education and awareness paradigm. To a large extent this could involve simply putting into reverse the massive federal stealth program of dumbing down Americans. Value learning. Keep faith and facts separate; enforce separation of church and state. Embrace science. Shun mainstream corporate media—especially television. Reward independent thinking.3) Immediately restore the American Hemp Industry. Hemp has saved us before, and now promises a gateway toward a sustainable economic foundation actually in harmony with life. In the midst of the imploding US and European financial systems and the resultant bankruptcies, nationalizations and bailouts the People’s Daily, China’s official newspaper, called for a new global currency to replace the US dollar. Writing in the People’s Daily edition of 17 September 2008 Professor Shi Jianxun of Shanghai’s Tongji University said that "[t]he world urgently needs to create a diversified currency and financial system and fair and just financial order that is not dependent on the United States."
This was later followed by a Friday 26 September address by Prime Minister Gordon Brown before the United Nations in which he called for a new "global financial order." It is to be based on "transparency, not opacity, rewarding success not excess, responsibility, not impunity, and …is [to be] global not national." Brown went on to say "We must clearly state that the age of irresponsibility must be [at an] end." As the G20 nations prepare to meet in Washington this week Mr. Brown has again called for a new global financial order, a Bretton Woods II. Mr. Brown wants the Middle East oil producers and China to assist in contributing to the bailouts taking place in the United States and Europe. In calling for such contributions Mr. Brown is effectively admitting the United States and Europe are broke and have exhausted their government (and central bank) resources in an effort to cure this massive market correction (frequently called a recession, deep recession or even depression) which has been underway since August 2007. China has announced its own stimulus program but it is unclear whether included in the 4 trillion Yuan amount are new programs or existing ones or a combination of both (my Chinese friends who are cynical about China’s government leaders laughingly tell me it probably includes the infrastructure projects for China’s 2008 Olympics as well).
Professor Jianxun is right to express concern about the financial leadership of the United States and the United States dollar in light of the events taking place in Washington and in the capitals of Europe. Estimates by financial analysts of the various bailouts of US financial institutions, the US automobile industry and god knows who all are at $2.7 trillion dollars with more bailouts likely to come. In Australia in addition to bailing out the automotive industry the government is assisting in the rescue of childcare operator ABC Learning Centres with a A$22 million dollar injection to keep the company afloat until the end of the year. The administrator appointed to oversee the company has estimated that 40% of the company’s childcare centres are unprofitable. Another example of the management of a company assuming inflation by central banks would continue forever without there being any correction.
Any sane person would have to wonder how the United States taxpayer (as well as the taxpayers of other countries) will pay for all of this while at the same time trying to recover and grow the US economy and strengthen the US dollar. The national debt of the United States is likely to go well above $11 trillion when totaling up all the financial risks proposing to be addressed by the US Treasury and the US Federal Reserve (we can be sure that $700 billion is not the final cost of the bill for the bailout; already AIG has been refinanced with $150 billion). For example the total derivative risk covered by CDS (credit default swaps, private contractual financial instruments insuring against default of debt) which is what finally sunk Bear Stearns and AIG is estimated to be $62 trillion and the exposure by US banks and financial institutions for all derivative products is estimated to be $180 trillion. The US House of Representatives recently agreed to bail out the US automotive industry and is in the process of considering providing additional money for the industry. With this bailout the line outside the corporate soup kitchen is likely to become very long as the corporate jets start flying into Washington to get a free meal and a free ride at the expense of the American taxpayer
In 1999 the US debt was "only" $3.6 trillion; the government was running a surplus and projecting to pay off the debt by 2015. What a difference years of large government intervention have made – expenditures for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and other large government expenditures to be paid through inflation by the Federal Reserve with the resultant malinvestments. It is not surprising then that questions arise about US financial management and the US dollar. It is time to adopt a global currency for a global economy – a private asset-based currency rather than a fiat currency which is subject to political whim, manipulation and wild swings in value resulting in massive malinvestments and destruction of savings. It is time to return to gold as the global private currency for our global economy. Eliminate fiat currency, eliminate fractional reserve banking, eliminate central banks and their government sponsored banking cartel which has brought about this massive destruction of wealth.
The technological and financial revolution which has resulted in a globalized economy and more open markets among nations has dramatically broken down trade and other national barriers among countries of the world. While far from perfectly efficient (due to the vast array of national protectionist laws and regulations) we have a global economy in spite of the attempts by governments to preserve the past with various |
