Okay, The Cherry Darlings are ready to start trying out drummers in the New Year. Think "garage glam/punk": New York Dolls, Iggy and The Stooges, the heroin-era Stones, early Who, Sex Pistols, the Clash, Generation X, Hanoi Rocks, Manic Street Preachers, etc. If you're the bastard offspring of Keith Moon and Jerry Nolan, you're our man. We need someone hard-hitting and inventive to DRIVE the band, yet knows the importance of butt-shaking grooves. Must be available for recording, steady gigging, even touring when the time comes. Drop me a line here if you think you wanna do this.

Anyone who tuned in knows I had to give up after one hour, due to technical difficulties that prevented me from announcing the songs I'd been playing on the air. We're working on this, and should finally give it a proper go after the New Year. Thanks to all who did tune in, however. Talk to you soon.

I'm sorry most of you haven't heard from me this past month. I have been dealing with a lot, mostly to do with settling with one of Mom's insurance companies and getting what I'm owed, especially considering Dec. 17th will be one year since she died. (Yesterday would have been her 68th birthday.) Well, that's taken care of now, and I can get my equipment out of pawn and return to getting the new band off the ground and all that other stuff. And maybe update my page and give Steve the promo photos I owe him. (I won the first "see how many friends you can get to sign up for PR.com!" contest for the month of October, and still haven't taken a photo that I like with my lovely prizes! Sorry, big cheese!)

Meantime, for those who haven't heard (or don't understand the Bob Dylan video on my page which PLAINLY EXPLAINS IT!! *rolls eyes*), I'm beginning a weekly internet radio show this Saturday night! I've just posted a detailed blog on MySpace (where I do the majority of my blogging) that explains everything. So click here to get the whole picture. Talk to you guys real soon.

Hey, guys! First of all, I wanna thank everyone who has made me feel so welcome since I first put my page up here! Everyone has been so awesome to me, and I especially want to thank Steve, the administrator, who had a long talk with me about Cheap Trick Friday night on MySpazz and encouraged me to sign up here. I was reluctant to be on another social networking site, as MySpazz does tend to eat up much of my time (and will likely continue to do so). But I'm already impressed with how much more functional Punk Rockers.com is, and the lack of the spam that has become the bane of my existence on MySpazz! If I don't see another Macy's "comment,"it will be too soon....

I've already been getting questions from the people who have just met me here (but not from the people I already seem to be attracting from MySpazz! Steve, I might be helping your business here! ). To answer the main one, my two bands The Hormones and Napalm Stars are long dead. I've got one song each in my music player, and of course you can go to my MySpazz music page to hear more. I haven't had a new band since my brief stint as lead guitarist for The Luv-Taps in Las Vegas two years ago, but I am getting a new one together. It will be called The Cherry Darlings, and it features the reunion of me and my old partner in The Hormones, Ron Williams. We're rehearsing with a second guitarist now, Raul Garza, and even without a drummer it's good, tight, and hard. It's like the Johnny Thunders-damaged hard pop I've always done, but with better musicianship. Think The Boys, the early Who, Generation X and you won't be far off.

Of course, I'll gladly talk with all of you and answer whatever you want. And feel free to add my two MySpazz pages - there are links in my About Me section here.
