Fest 6
DATE: 11/05/2007 15:27:06 / MOOD: in love
I am now fully recovered and have had a chance to absorb the events that took place at Fest 6. I certainly don’t remember everything; I’ve seen some pictures where I have no recollection of the events there-in.
So here is the concise wrap-up based on what I remember. Upon arriving in Gainesville we picked up a keg which seemed overwhelming until we made friends with lots of rad people who helped us with it at our very own Café 405 and the amazing pool deck party. There was some running and hiding from the cops and security involved. The shows were almost non-stop from the time we arrived until we left. The highlights for me were seeing High Tension Wires, Toys That Kill, Youth Brigade, Landmines & the post-Fest show Sunday night at Wayward Council. I was really impressed with how chill security was at all the venues. In DC at some of the clubs that have punk shows the bouncers are total dicks. It was a pleasure to see bouncers actually enjoying the music and not over-react on people in the crowd at The Venue. I do wish I could have seen more bands. There were so many shows all at the same time that I missed some sets that I’m sure were amazing. Thanks to everyone involved, I’ll be back next year.

was amazing! So many great bands played that I didn't get a chance to see them all. Even the crap-ass motel was pretty great cause everyone stayed there. Highlights: Broken Heroes, The Templars & Reagan Youth. Highly recommended for next year.
