i am always somewhat suprised & confused in the weird way punk mutates, having grown up with the movement ive seen it go from the initial wave of the 70s through to the 80s & onwards. Its a love affair that will never end, i find some of my peers wont listen to new stuff as readily as some old re-issue...which baffles me to be honest as i believe its an evolving thing & not just a museum piece. however there a a few things i dont understand...punks in the military & christian punks..surely they botrh contradict the whole point of punk which is to question things...being a government puppet is far removed from the idea of punk as well as christians..who wont question anything!!! i guess it boils down to people having different views on Punk, some just see it as rock n roll but for me it was at its best when it was pointed, intelligent & sarcastic & fun...less rock & more punk! and why are there still fucking idiots wearing swastikas??? it was a fleeting trend in the 70s which thankfully was shamed into being abandoned pretty quickly?? oh well ive had me moan beyond that never surrender!
