Fuck ! Andy Wakeman, Aniversery Gig, Happy New Year, etc. I have bad news, but it could be much worse, Andy {guitar player and other singer for Meatwagon} was doing a Dylan immitation on Sunday Night and got in a motorcycle wreck on his Triumph bike......the good news is that he is alive, he is not paralized, he suffered no head trauma.....thank fucking god....the bad news, he has a broken pelvis and other breaks and fractures, he is in the hospital, in traction....He has a fucking metal rod going through his leg right above the knee, it is not pretty in the least, however, he is in relatively excellent spirits...Andy is in my top 5 easily as far as stand up people go, top 5 for everyone I have ever known in my 153 years, there is nothing contrived about Andy in the least. He is a very loyal friend and it has been a pleasure being in a band with him for 20 fucking years.....he is very strong mentally and physically. He should make a decent recovery but it will take awhile .....unless some miracle occurs and he feels up to playing on the 19th , sitting on a stool, we ain't playing, I would give it a 99% chance against....None of that shit is important however, what is important is for yours and my friend to recover,  what is important is that he is alive , banged up but alive and not catosropicilly {Blew that one} injured.....it may be closer to our 21st aniversery , but we will play our 20th aniversery gig sometime, just not on the 19th.....{The actual date of the first Meatwagon gig is 12/25/87} I might not act like it sometime, I might winne and bitch about it from time to time, but I do love this band and my bandmates....we have had our ups and downs over the years, sure, I wish we did new material {I suppose it still could happen} I wish the band would evolve and the same rate I have evolved, but the positives and the infamy far outweigh the negatives, being able to write about and scream anything I want has been very cathortic, maybe we drove some people insane , but it has kept me sane........I will keep you all posted, stay tuned, Andy will be fine...and he assured me he ain't gonna fly to Nashville when he recovers and make a crappy solo record, sing in a weird voice other then normal, etc, No duets with Johnny Cash or Bruce Springstein, no steel guitars...{Yes, I am aware the great Johnny Cash has moved on}...Happy Fucking New Year ! This will not likely be the last........I remember more bands....The Offend, Prowler, Jack Shrivelsack and his Lesbians On Crack.........the Postals of course, Jane Likes Dick,  THE UNEMPLOYTED....Oh, I gotta mention one major act we did play with GG FUCKING ALLIN !!!!! Not even Rocket From The Crypt even thought they clamed they did.....I'll get back to you......D

We are happy to anounce that we will be performing on Jan 19th 2008 at the Tower Bar in San Diego. It will  be our 20th aniversery gig .....we actually played for the first time on Christmas Day {night} at the Whistle Stop Bar, or WSB as the owners used to call it, in honor of the W.S. B. on General Hospital....way back in 1987.....that was a crazy gig, my old friend Bob Sax actually sat in with us , not knowing the songs or anything, he insisted , of course, Bob Sax plays sax....it sounded very strange considering because he was just winging it......but, yeah, it will be great to see EVERYONE, come on down , poooooollllllessssseeeee ! The Tower is at the southeast corner of university and euclid....a real shitty part of town....love it, always have, I like shit.....I don't know about other bands yet but I will look into it......Did I think this would last 20 years ??????????? , well way back when I thought it would last forever and 20 years is even longer then forever.....half my hearing is gone, i have a lot of fucking ailments but i swear, this band made me into a man. It tought me to be fearless. I have loved the human interaction with both my bandmates, old and new as well as the all the wonderful people we have met along the way, all the other bands we have played with...for some reason Bulima Banquet is jumping out at me........Julabelle was , and probably still is , the shit...what a sweetheart....love you honey wherever you r.....Hey. merry fucking christmas everyone !!!!!!!!! Meat Pride, Meat Power, MEAT VICTORY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, PS, I am having a blurry memory of playing with a band called "The Ninth" ..........There were legends in there own minds......that was probably in 88...they did not last 20 years unless they moved out of town or something.....Goddamn, I can't shut up......some of the other bands we have played with, I could name the obvious big ones we played with , but every band does that....so I am gonna dust off my memory and name some of the less , well know bands.....Sinister Life {Goddammit call me!} Manifest Destiny, The Satanic Faggots From Hell, Festeval of Mucus, Dead Bolt, Jose Sinatra, Rikk Agnews Yard Sale {OK, he is well known} The Spoiled Brats {fucking assholes} The Noisy Little Bastards, The Infint Addicts, Noise God {Love you guys} Murder Of Crows {Real nice people} Social Spit, Funneral March, Skid Marks, RMSD, Infamous Symphony, all the little people, you know who you are, Dos X, The DumDUM Boys, Peter Zo {Best guy in the world} Peacefull Meadows, and countless others...I'm old, I can't remember everybody....Oh, The Slurps, Joel , great guy, Abby, I would like to shoot on site.....Carmine, Irrelevant, AK Skurgis......As I said, I could rattle off a bunch of big bands we played with, but if you know us , you would know. We have never, however played with Social Distortion and I WAS NEVER IN Social Distortion nor do I have the desire, although the $ would be nice....I would much rather give Britney Spears and her whore sister Alabama Hot Pockets....bye bye...cu at the show..drive like a fucking asshole....D
