Distorted 2010 and beyond
DATE: 01/10/2010 13:31:12 / MOOD: other

So, a lot has been happening here at Distorted and I know we have probably been (not intentionally) ignoring some of our social media outlets!

For those who don’t know we have gone through a few changes, in format dropping the monthly magazine format in favour of a web based magazine that will be constantly updated rather than on a monthly bases.

Sadly our previous Editor has moved on to concentrate on family life: http://www.distortedmagazine.com/columns/editors-notes/the-only-constant-is-change

But the cogs are in full motion as we have entered the next chapter in Distorted life.

There have been loads of new interview features, album reviews and show reviews on Distorted over the months and interviews include: Star Fucking Hipsters http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/politically-correct-star-fucking-hipsters Left Alone http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/the-kids-will-be-united-left-alone Moral Dilemma http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/squat-punk-true-punk-moral-dilemma No Sweat http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/no-sweat American Steel http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/american-heroes The Grit http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/gritty-bastards The Cut Ups http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/slicing-through-the-bs Neck http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/plastic-punches The Lawrence Arms http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/butts-and-balls Bryan McPherson http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/chasing-dreams The Arteries http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/punk%E2%80%99s-in-your-blood-the-arteries Propagandhi http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/supporting-cast-propagandhis-todd-kowalski-david-guillas

Strike Anywhere http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/changing-the-world-strike-anywhere

Drag The River

http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/folk-punk-troubadours-drag-the-river

We also have an amazing collection of photos from our regular photographer Imelda Michalczyk who sorted through her best of 2009. http://www.distortedmagazine.com/features/photos-best-of-2009

2010 is in full swing and we have started a short series of interviews with various bands and artists looking back at 2009 and the decade just closed and of course looking ahead in 2010.

We have also been growing our Distorted family with new columnists, Jon Curtis and Taron Cochrane coming on board to join the regular contributing John Robb.

Thanks as always for your support and spread the word. More to come... Steve-Editor

November issue now online
DATE: 11/04/2007 04:14:19 / MOOD: happy

The November issue of Distorted is now here and it’s filled with some pretty interesting material. John Robb pays homage to the late Paul Fox. Anti-Nowhere League talk to us about their new album, parenting with Jim Lindberg of Pennywise, a look at four film directors who make punk films and we interview the Toasters, American Steel, London’s Moral Dilema, african skankers The Rudimentals, Career Soldiers, and the list just goes on and on.Don’t forget to check out new regular about girls in the punk scene, and our semi-regular, simply titled ‘Favourites’. Our first candidate is The Great Deceiver frontman Tomas Lindberg (who also has a beard!). And we still got the reviews and other regular material stuff we have every month in Distorted.

See ya next month for our one year birthday issue!
